Despite how they were dismissive of his truthfulness prior to Wednesday and the fact that he could not directly implicate President Trump in a quid pro quo scheme with Ukraine, ABC, CBS, and NBC heralded the public testimony of E.U. Ambassador Gordon Sondland as a “bombshell” from “the most pivotal witness yet.”

During an 11:00 a.m. ET hour break in Wednesday’s impeachment hearing, all three broadcast networks eagerly proclaimed the U.S. Ambassador to the European Union, Gordon Sondland, was “directly implicating” President Trump in a “quid pro quo” with Ukraine. However, just minutes later, those same networks admitted that Sondland never heard any such thing directly from the President.

Leading up to their second chance to host a 2020 Democratic debate, NBC News had been running a biased series where they only sought out “What Matters” to Democratic voters. For last Thursday’s installment, the network promoted former HUD Secretary Julian Castro’s plan to lower taxes for the middle class. In a blatant attempt to exploit the Santa Clarita school shooting the very next day, Friday’s NBC Nightly News conveniently queued up their ‘What Matters’ segment to push the Democratic Party’s desire to do away with gun rights in America. While the segment dealt with what mattered to Democratic voters it didn’t deal with the facts that mattered.

All three networks began Friday night’s newscasts with two or three breathless segments touting the day’s Democrat impeachment narrative, centered on former Ukraine ambassador Marie Yovanovitch, who they fawned over as a “respected anti-corruption champion” subjected to a “smear campaign” by the president and his advisers.
