MSNBC reporter Garrett Haake on Tuesday spun Mitt Romney’s Senate primary battle as a struggle against the “far right.” Regarding Romney’s recent (and 2016 criticisms) of the President, Haake described: “But this idea of trying to drive a wedge between Romney and Trump is something that those on the far right may try to exploit tonight.” 

Throughout MSNBC’s Friday coverage of student walk-outs across the country to demand gun control, the liberal cable channel’s anchors and correspondent could barely contain their excitement about the prospect of those anti-gun protesters mobilizing to vote pro-gun rights Republicans out of office in the November midterms.

Demonstrating a staggering lack of self-awareness, on Thursday, MSNBC Congressional Correspondent Garrett Haake promoted pro-abortion Democratic California Senator Kamala Harris declaring: “...we have to have smart gun safety laws. And we cannot tolerate a society and live in a country with any level of pride when our babies are being slaughtered.”

On Monday, MSNBC was already working hard to make sure Republicans would be solely to blame for any possible government shutdown at the end of the week and proclaiming that Democrats “fed up” with the GOP were ready to “draw a line” on maintaining the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

On Monday, CBS This Morning was alone among the morning newscasts in ignoring Guatemala's announcement that it will be first to follow the U.S. lead and recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, and move its embassy there. The CBS Evening News also avoided mentioning Guatemala as ABC's World News Tonight and the NBC Nightly News were both preempted.
