In a friendly sit-down with former Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg on Monday, Today show co-host Craig Melvin gushed that the 38-year-old former Sound Bend mayor “could run for president ten more times.” The NBC anchor went on to promote Buttigieg preparing to play late-night host, set to  fill in for Jimmy Kimmel on Thursday.

During an otherwise softball interview with former Vice President Joe Biden aired on Thursday, NBC’s Today show co-host Craig Melvin started off by pressing the 2020 Democratic candidate on the support for socialist Senator Bernie Sanders, who “has been able to convince so many people, especially so many young people, that he’s their guy.”

The NBC, ABC, and CBS morning shows on Tuesday all excitedly cheered the news that Amazon CEO and Washington Post owner Jeff Bezos would devote billions of dollars to fighting climate change. The networks also made sure to point out that Bezos was bowing to pressure from left-wing climate activists working at Amazon.

During his 11:00 a.m. ET hour show on Monday, MSNBC anchor Craig Melvin falsely and outrageously claimed that a gun rights rally taking place in Richmond, Virginia was being attended by “Armed militia, white nationalist groups from all over the country.” Despite having no evidence of such a claim, he repeated his assertion while introducing a report on the peaceful demonstration.  

All three networks were eager to equate gun rights advocates to neo-Nazis on Monday morning’s broadcasts. All three networks spent time Wednesday hyping radical Swedish teen climate change activist Greta Thunberg being honored by Time Magazine today with their “Person of the Year” award. Journalists from ABC, NBC, and CBS all praised the “deserving” “good choice” and touted the teen “taking on” world leaders while “inspiring” other teens to become climate evangelists.
