Bret Baier Strikes Back At President's Alleged Claim Fox Says 'Obama I
March 19th, 2012 7:00 PM
Politico reported Monday that a new book by Mother Jones's David Corn claims President Obama blamed his 2010 midterm elections defeat on Fox News constantly calling him a Muslim.
Fox News's Bret Baier struck back on Monday's Special Report saying, "For the record, we found no examples of a host saying President Obama is a Muslim" (video follows with transcript and commentary):
WaPo's Charles Lane: Gas Prices 'Are Not the President’s Fault
February 23rd, 2012 7:36 PM
On Thursday, Media Research Center President and publisher of NewsBusters Brent Bozell told Fox News's Neil Cavuto that gas prices will keep climbing and the media will continue downplaying it to help President Obama get reelected.
Proving his point just a few hours later on Fox News's Special Report was Charles Lane, the editorial writer for the Washington Post, who actually said, "Gas…
Saturday Night Funny Video: Woman Scolds Local TV Reporter: ‘Total
February 5th, 2012 12:19 AM
Not everybody appreciates live local TV reporting. When an unusual snowstorm hit Seattle a few weeks ago, the local NBC affiliate sent a reporter to cover people sledding on city streets. And, as caught by ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live, some hilarity ensued in the reaction of one displeased woman holding an inner tube.
“Sometimes when covering the dangers of sledding and cars on slick roads,” FNC’…
Saturday Night Funny Video: Silent Film ‘The Artist’ Treatment of
January 29th, 2012 1:24 AM
Playing off the “best picture” nominated motion picture, The Artist, ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live on Tuesday night created its own version of the black and white silent movie – but with a twist, using video clips from NBC’s Republican presidential debate of the night before.
FNC ended Thursday’s Special Report with the pretty inventive video created by Kimmel’s staff. Bret Baier set it up by…
Fox's 'Special Report' Passes Along MRC Finding: OWS-Loving Networks A
January 27th, 2012 10:41 PM
On the "Grapevine" section of Friday night's Special Report, Fox News anchor Bret Baier reported the MRC's findings on how the networks covered this year's "March for Life" -- or, to be more precise, how they skipped it. Once again, ABC, CBS, and NBC aired nothing on the thousands and thousands of pro-life protesters marching to the Supreme Court on the 39th anniversary of the high court…
Newt Gingrich: 'Efforts By the Best Food Stamp President to Maximize D
January 16th, 2012 10:03 PM
Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich said at Monday's debate in South Carolina, "Unconditional efforts by the best food stamp president in American history to maximize dependency is terrible for the future of this country” (video follows with transcribed highlights and commentary):
FNC's Bret Baier Cites NewsBusters Critique of UNICEF Ad Attacking San
December 21st, 2011 4:30 PM
During the "Grapevine" segment on Tuesday's Special Report on Fox News, anchor Bret Baier played a clip of a UNICEF ad depicting Santa Claus as an uncaring Scrooge and quoted an item from NewsBusters' senior editor Tim Graham: "Conservative site NewsBusters asked quote: 'Why on Earth would jolly old Saint Nicholas resent aid for the poor? Is this just another way the UN bureaucracy asserts its…
Imagine If Bachmann Had Said It: Networks Skip Obama Confusing Kansas
December 7th, 2011 12:38 PM
The same networks that jumped on every flub by Rick Perry and Michele Bachmann have, so far, ignored video of President Obama confusing Kansas with Texas. Only Fox News and CNN played the clip.
Special Report's Bret Baier, however did cover the President's speech about taxes, calling the moment "inauspicious." He then showed Obama, in Osawatomie, Kansas, asserting: "Well, it is great to be…
Fox's Special Report Cites NB Regarding Biased 60 Minutes Story on Con
November 14th, 2011 10:48 PM
As NewsBusters previously reported, 60 Minutes on Sunday cherry picked Peter Schweizer's book "Throw Them All Out" to give the appearance that Congressional insider trading was mainly a Republican problem.
On Fox News's Special Report Monday, host Bret Baier cited our article on this subject (video follows with transcript and commentary):
FNC’s Bret Baier Shows Second Obama ‘Photo Fail
November 4th, 2011 10:08 AM
President Barack Obama did it again Thursday and FNC’s Bret Baier has again provided slow-mo play-by-play of Obama’s “talk to the hand” ill-timed wave which blocked the face of another world leader during a group photo-shoot.
In September, at the UN in New York City, his victim was the President of Mongolia. At the G-20 in Cannes, France his hand went up in front of the face of India’s Prime…
Saturday Night Funny Video: ‘International Wall Street Occupier Regi
October 23rd, 2011 1:02 AM
I noticed Saturday Night Live was a re-run and so decided to see what I could come up with for a comedy clip tonight – though I got a late start looking because I spent my Saturday night in Washington, DC attending the hockey match-up between the only two undefeated NHL teams. (There is now only one, the Capitals, following a 7-1 “routing” of the Detroit Red Wings!)
Tonight, from the end of…
Saturday Night Funny Video: Making Fun of ‘Occupy Wall Street
October 9th, 2011 12:25 AM
It’s been a month, but here's another entry in my semi-regular series of Saturday night humor postings for NewsBusters drawn from the clips Bret Baier runs at the end of FNC’s Special Report which he and his staff usually select from video montages picked up off the late night comedy shows.
Tonight, from this past week’s Tuesday night program, a brief comedy bit produced by ABC’s Jimmy…
ABC, NBC Highlight Obama's Attack on GOP Over Boos in Audience
October 4th, 2011 8:39 AM
The ABC and NBC morning and evening newscasts on Sunday gave attention to President Obama's attack on the Republican presidential candidates for not scolding a couple of audience members who booed a gay solder asking a question at a recent debate. Monday's "Special Report with Bret Baier" on FNC noted that Obama has his own history of standing by without condemning inappropriate comments at…

September 26th, 2011 9:15 AM
"Every other network has given all their shows to liberals. We are the balance."
So said Roger Ailes in a profile written by the Daily Beast's Howard Kurtz Sunday which also included the Fox News chairman taking a shot at MSNBC's Joe Scarborough:
