The hacks at CBS This Morning on Monday jumped on the cancel culture bandwagon, hyping the effort to force the Washington Redskins to change their name. Reporter Chip Reid featured an ESPN host assailing the “bloody” nickname. NOWHERE in the entire segment was any mention that Native Americans have been repeatedly polled and overwhelmingly support the name. 

 Opponents of the Redskins nickname are on the warpath with renewed fury, combining the efforts of media, activists and politicians to call upon team members to refuse to play for Washington. Leading the charge is Fawn Sharp, president of the National Congress of American Indians, an organization representing 500 tribes.

Over the past few days, several MSNBC anchors have shown substantially more interest in giving attention to the claim that someone used a noose to target NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace with a hate crime, but little to no interest in updating viewers when it turned out to be a false alarm.

The Star Spangled Banner has become another victim of cancel culture. America's national anthem is under fire, and USA Today is providing the match with four stories in recent days denigrating the Star Spangled Banner.

On Wednesday, during interviews with NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace, CBS This Morning and NBC’s Today show actually rejected the findings of FBI investigation that concluded no hate crime was committed against the sport’s only full-time black driver. Instead, both broadcasts decided to keep pushing the debunked narrative that Wallace was targeted with a “noose” – which turned out to be a garage…

“Huge, if true.” Those are three of the most rare words used by the media today. For those who have not turned on the news recently, NASCAR called the FBI to investigate a potential hate crime committed against the only black driver in the sport, Bubba Wallace, when it was claimed a noose was found in his team's garage.

Less than an hour before news broke that the FBI found no evidence of a hate crime against NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace, MSNBC's John Heilemann and Eddie Glaude were lamenting those conservatives who had questioned whether the official story that someone had hung a noose in Wallace's garage was authentic.

What does someone first think of when they hear “The Masters”? Golf. That’s the answer. It is an event that has long transcended the world of sports. Even those who have no idea the difference between a Bogey and a Birdie know that 'The Masters' is ‘that one golf event with the green jacket thing’.

“I think the hardest thing to be, in 2020, is reasonable. To be reasonable in an unreasonable time is a true mark of rebellion right now; that is defiance. It’s in short supply.”

New York Daily News sports writers on Saturday blitzed the NFL with renewed calls to sign Colin Kaepernick. Bob Raissman urged the NFL Network to run a marathon marketing the lightning rod former pro quarterback. Mike Lupica wrote the New York Giants should do the right thing and give him a chance to be their quarterback.

“Boy, look at all those Jacobin BLM kids out there hating on cops, tearing down statues, getting people fired, canceling everything they can think of -- sure looks like fun. How can I, a simple Chicago Tribune editorial board member, get in on some of that? I know! I’ll connect a baseball team to a law enforcement organization that may have been racist in the past! You’re a genius, Steve…

Colin Kaepernick spewed volumes of hate and anger with his knee during the 2016 NFL season, and the America hater is about to rev up the volume on his rhetoric through a San Francisco publishing company. Kaepernick will join Medium's board of directors in addition to writing about race and civil rights.

Finally, some athletes are talking about not taking a knee in protest. Before you get too excited, though, there's more to the story. A group of NBA players say they're willing to stand up -- against systemic racism and also willing to boycott the rest of the NBA season.

And so it continues. The mainstream networks are relentlessly and openly attacking people for no other reason than showing that they MAY lean towards the conservative side of the aisle.
