On her MSNBC show this morning, Joy Reid, speaking with failed presidential candidate Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, noted that the rates of coronavirus infections and deaths are disproportionately high among African-Americans. Replying, Gillibrand blamed it on "institutional racism," in both health care and our economy.

On Wednesday's PBS NewsHour, correspondent Amna Nawaz fretted about President Donald Trump accurately linking the COVID-19 virus to China during a segment highlighting reports of increased racism being faced by Asian-Americans in recent weeks.

On Tuesday's Amanpour & Co. on PBS, NPR hoste Michel Martin did an interview with Stuart Stevens, one of those GOP strategists who became red-hot Never Trumpers. Stevens insisted "the original sin of the modern Republican party is race," and Martin used that to rip into Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush....inaccurately.

The Nation magazine sports editor Dave Zirin positions his blog and podcast as representative of the "Edge of Sports." Make that the extreme, far Left edge of sports. The socialist Zirin is a hardcore Trump hater who, in this week's podcast, focused on the theme of Trump-as-racist for referring to COVID-19 as a Chinese virus. Even though it originated in China and spawned a pandemic.
