Situation Room co-host Pamela Brown asked for Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson to respond to President Trump calling for his arrest, but did not ask him at all about why the Chicago police were directed to not assist border patrol and ICE agents. The lapse in journalistic responsibility came during a Wednesday morning interview with Johnson.

In a radical departure from the reporting we usually see with regard to immigration, a legacy news outlet elected to report GOOD news related to the Trump administration’s efforts to enforce the southern border. NBC’s report on the border is a real eye-opener:

HBO’s John Oliver had two distinctly outrageous hot takes on Sunday’s Last Week Tonight. First, Oliver called ICE operations that seek to enforce immigration laws “state-sanctioned kidnapping,” and later, during his deep dive into presidential libraries, claimed that former President Ronald Reagan is in hell.

Three weeks after Charlie Kirk's assassination, the media are back to promoting full-throated Nazi smears, especially denouncing ICE agents as Trump's "Gestapo." After Chicago police were ordered to refuse requests for assistance by ICE agents who were under threat Saturday, the national and Illinois Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) organizations issued a joint statement condemning the order that left law enforcement officers in danger.

In an embarrassing interview, CBS’s Margaret Brennan sat passively as Illinois Democrat Senator Tammy Duckworth repeated what is now known as the Zip-Tie Hoax: the debunked claim that children were zip-tied during ICE raids in Chicago. Additionally, Duckworth was allowed to incite further violence against ICE with her incendiary claim that they engage in “Gestapo tactics.”
