A bizarre “Eye on America” segment on the beleaguered CBS Evening News left reasonable viewers wondering whether they drifted off to Castro’s Cuba or the former East Germany. The term “regime media”, mockingly bestowed upon the legacies when Democrats are in power, just got disturbingly real.

In a landmark ruling, the Supreme Court of the United States held that Tennessee had a constitutional right to ban hormonal and surgical child mutilation, more commonly referred to by its NewSpeakian nomenclature: “gender-affirming health care.” In covering this landmark ruling, the legacy media chose to identify as “sad.”

Covering politicians getting themselves performatively arrested these days is not unlike watching an outbreak: first one patient, then another, until the whole town is infected. And as is the case with their outbreak coverage, the media are excessively hyping these performative arrests.

In an effort to create the illusion of wanton violence against left-wing protesters, ABC World News Tonight anchor David Muir melodramatically oversold a driver incident in Los Angeles. Viewers are gaslit into believing that the driver plowed “through the crowd” despite watching video proving that no such thing happened.

We regret to inform you that MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow had another normal one. During an interminable “No Kings” rant to open her eponymous show, she thought she was making fun of Brevard County, Florida Sheriff Wayne Ivey. Instead, she further embarrassed herself in front of her audience.

ABC News proves once again that they are physically and pathologically unable to contain their Trump Derangement. The latest example: their coverage of the U.S. Army’s 250th Anniversary Parade on the Sunday edition of ABC World News Tonight.

We regret to inform you that CBS’s Margaret Brennan is at it again. Brennan attempted to chastise Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) over his most recent op-ed in The Wall Street Journal, with its language evocative of the 2020 New York Times op-ed that triggered a newsroom revolt. 

NBC Nightly News was the only legacy media evening newscast to air an item on the investigation into the use of the autopen during the Biden Administration. But, in what could be an early sign of what to expect in the Tom Llamas Era, the purpose of the report was to firefight the allegations rather than air them.

There is nothing Elite Acela media hate more than getting checked by a conservative after trying to sneak in a bad-faith question premised on a bad-faith frame. Such is the case of CNN’s Abby Phillip, who had an absolute meltdown after getting called out by Scott Jennings and Brad Todd for suggesting that Education Secretary Linda McMahon tried to both-sides the Holocaust in a Congressional…

The legacy media generally love to report on perceived palace intrigue and betrayal, unless the intrigue happens within a Democrat White House. Then, it’s all quiet on the Leftern Front. NBC’s reporting on the new book by former White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre is the exception.

The legacy media largely omitted a major national security story with immigration implications: the thwarted smuggling of a “potential agroterrorism weapon” by Chinese nationals. The implications are staggering, and the omission is inexcusable.

Fresh from being bothered about President Trump mentioning the need for deportations in light of the horrific Boulder firebombing being carried out by an illegal alien, it appears that CBS Evening News has found a new outrage du jour: the renaming of certain naval vessels. Namely, the USNS Harvey Milk- and during Pride Month!

If an insurrection dropped in a tony San Diego neighborhood and no legacy media covered it, did it really happen? With the exception of NBC Nightly News, this seems to be the working assumption among the legacy media evening newscasts.

After a slow start, the legacy media eventually came around to covering the Boulder firebombing for what it was: an antisemitic terror attack in furtherance of Hamas’s goals. However, CBS News found a novel way to slink towards the gutter: by lamenting the hypothetical fate of the fire bomber under Trump immigration policies.
