Two recent Associated Press dispatches have exposed how out of touch two of its reporters are with the dominant Second Amendment-defending views of voters and politicians in Texas. They also are flummoxed that most of the students who survived Friday's school shooting in Santa Fe haven't turned into rabid gun-control advocates.

Early Tuesday night, Daily Caller media reporter Justin Caruso flagged some Grade A insanity on MSNBC’s Deadline: White House as Clinton-era Deputy Assistant Attorney General Harry Litman compared criticism of the Trump-Russia probe and calls for oversight to the Nazis bombing campaign on London in World War II (known as The Blitz).

Deep breaths, people. Leading off Tuesday’s MTP Daily on MSNBC, moderator Chuck Todd let loose on some hyperbole and self-righteous speculation that America is amidst a “constitutional crisis” and “fatal” attack on “the rule of law” caused by Republicans demanding an investigation into alleged spying of the Trump campaign in the early stages of the Russia probe. 

Appearing on CNN’s New Day on Tuesday to promote his new book on presidential impeachment, left-wing Harvard Law Professor Laurence Tribe warned Democrats against being too quick to call for President Trump’s impeachment. He argued that they should wait for “overwhelming” bipartisan consensus on the issue and proclaimed: “If you’re going to shoot him, you’ve got to shoot to kill.”

On her 12:00 p.m. ET hour show on Monday, MSNBC anchor Andrea Mitchell admitted that she was a “fan girl” of the CBS drama Madam Secretary, a show in which a Hillary Clinton-like Secretary of State crusades for one liberal cause after another. Mitchell noted that her love of the show has only increased since the “downturn” of the State Department under President Trump.

On his Sunday show on CNN, as Fareed Zakaria presided over a segment discussing the week's news on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, only the left and the far left were included as liberal New York Times columnist Tom Friedman slammed President Donald Trump's Israel policy as "diplomatic pornography," and Palestinian activist Hanan Ashrawi claimed that all of Jerusalem is "occupied" and tried to…

During MSNBC’s breaking news coverage of Friday’s Texas school shooting, former ATF agent and NBC News law enforcement analyst Jim Cavanaugh took time to attack President Trump for commenting on the tragedy at a White House event, dismissing those remarks of sympathy for the victims as “empty words” since the President had not pushed for gun control.

During Thursday's edition of New Day, Never Trumper and CNN political commentator Ana Navarro expressed her disdain for President Trump's “dehumanizing” comments referring to MS-13 gang members as “animals.” She apparently expected the American public to have a short memory, as Navarro herself had referred to then-candidate Trump as an “animal” in 2016.
