It was Benjamin Franklin who stated that “Nothing is more certain except death and taxes.” Lately, it looks like we could easily add to that quote “and the misrepresentation of Jeb Bush on Univision.”

Lo and behold, there are Latinos who support Senator Ted Cruz's candidacy for President of the United States. That was the discovery Univision made while covering the Texas Senator's presidential campaign announcement at Liberty University.

Univision’s morning show, Despierta América, started the day by swinging into attack mode against presidential hopeful Ted Cruz. Univision host Natalia Cruz led the charge, telling viewers that “although the candidate has a Latino last name and background, he has come to be known for his anti-immigrant policies.”

During an exclusive townhall meeting with President Obama, MSNBC and Telemundo host and townhall moderator José Díaz-Balart twice pressed President Obama to further expand his administration’s controversial new policy to exempt millions of unauthorized immigrants from the application of the nation’s immigration laws.

Obama spinmaster David Axelrod recently went on (Univision sister network) Fusion’s America with Jorge Ramos and discussed immigration policy, among other things. In the process of rendering his accustomed Obama apologia, this time on immigration, Axelrod made quite the interesting revelation.

Univision senior anchor Jorge Ramos recently complained about being potentially "silenced." Perhaps Mr. Ramos would be better served by taking a hard look at the silencing going on within his own company.

When Univision highlighted Bush’s speech in its nightly news broadcast, true to form, it focused solely on immigration. On top of that, out of all the content on immigration discussed by the former Governor, Univision’s sole focus was that Bush “suggested that undocumented immigrants be invited to leave the United States”.
