Add what follows to the long list of items we should be reading about in wire service reports but instead must find in the editorial sections of the nation's two leading business newspapers.
An Islamist organization tied to the Muslim Brotherhood is involved in the screening potential Syrian refugees allegedly receive before being allowed to come to the United States. Investor's Business Daily revealed this information, which is in stark contrast what U.S. government officials are telling the nation, in a Tuesday evening editorial (bolds are mine):
UN Working With Islamist Group To Resettle Over 15,000 Syrian Refugees In America
Who picks the Syrian refugees that resettle in the U.S.? Homeland Security? No, the United Nations, in concert with a global Islamist group. And they're sending "more than 15,000," not the widely reported 10,000.
In fact, Washington has no role in selecting the thousands of Syrian refugees coming to your hometown. The U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees is really behind the effort, and he's referred an additional 5,000-plus Syrian nationals here.
... "As of mid-2015, UNHCR has referred more than 15,000 Syrian refugees to the United States," the 71-page (State Department) report adds. "And these individuals are being screened to determine whether they are eligible."
... Of course, that security screening is a joke, as the FBI director and his top counterterrorism aide, as well as the Homeland Security and National Intelligence chiefs, have all testified.
Well, maybe that's how government officials have "testified" in front of Congress. The problem is, based on what the Cincinnati Enquirer reported Tuesday afternoon, that's apparently not what the State Department is routinely telling the rest of America.
In covering the local Islamic Center of Greater Cincinnati's objections to statements made by Republican Governor John Kasich and Democratic Cincinnati Mayor John Cranley, the Enquirer says that it received the following missive from the State Department:
In an email to The Enquirer on Monday, a spokesperson for the U.S. Department of State said the vetting process for refugees involves the National Counterterrorism Center, the FBI's Terrorist Screening Center, the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Defense.
It’s the highest level of scrutiny for any traveler to the United States, the email sates, and for Syrians, there’s an extra level of scrutiny, “the classified details of which have been briefed to Congress.”
Note that the State Department cited government organizations which IBD claims have described the screening process, in the vernacular, as "a joke."
It gets worse, because, as IBD revealed, the the entire enterprise appears to involve far more than incompetence:
... That's not all. The UNHCR is working "hand in hand" with an international Islamist group of 57 Muslim nations — the Organization of Islamic Cooperation — whose founding charter seeks to propagate "legitimate jihad" and "the norms of Islamic Shari'ah." Saudi-based OIC, in fact, is tied to the radical Muslim Brotherhood.
"We are delighted to work ... with the OIC," said U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees Antonio Guterres.
So it's really the U.N. and radical Islamists who are choosing your new Muslim neighbors.
While the U.N. calls its project "refugee resettlement," the Islamists call it "hijra," or immigration jihad.
"Muhammad told his followers to migrate and spread Islam in order to dominate all the lands of the world," said Ann Corcoran, author of "Refugee Resettlement and the Hijra to America."
Here is corroboration of IBD's disturbing characterization of OIC, obtained in 5 whole minutes of exhaustive research:
- At the Center for Security Policy — "The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the largest Islamic organization in the world – comprised of 56 UN Member states plus the Palestinian Authority — has long been trying to silence, and ultimately criminalize, all criticism of Islam."
- JihadWatch.org, pegging from a January 18 Arab News item — "Organization of Islamic Cooperation planning legal action against Charlie Hebdo for publishing blasphemous cartoons." The Charile Hebdo terrorist murders occurred on January 7. The OIC was mercilessly piling on those who survived and were attempting to keep the publication alive.
- Gatestone Institute, December 2013 — "OIC Blames Free Speech for 'Islamophobia' in West"
It would appear that the only reason the information in IBD's editorial noted isn't news is that the establishment press doesn't want it to be news. They may be complaining about how non-presidentially President Barack Obama is acting, but apparently most of them remain fully behind his dangerous agenda.
