Chuck Todd announced he's going to leave NBC's Meet the Press. Did he leave voluntarily? Was he pushed? There's one thing we know: It's hilarious when he claims he's been all about the facts. "We didn't tolerate propagandists and this network and program never will...I take the attacks from partisans as compliments."
NewsBusters media analyst and Sunday specialist Kevin Tober joins the show to recall all the most memorable recent episodes of Chuck Todd bias. Like when Mr. All Facts told Vivek Ramaswamy that gender is "a spectrum." Or when he blew his stack when Sen. Ron Johnson complained Todd and his media pals ignored their Hunter Biden probe before the 2020 election.
When Todd joined NBC News in 2007 as political director, he was a campaign analyst and prognosticator -- a little like Steve Kornacki is today. Once he became a White House reporter and then Meet the Press moderator, he moved further and further away from straight reporting and numerical analysis.
We also explored some of Kevin's other Sunday work, like MSNBC host Jen Psaki suggesting Speaker Kevin McCarthy was a hostage taker, and MSNBC regular Elie Mystal outrageously claiming Supreme Court chief justice John Roberts was opposed to black people voting.
