Christian Toto at Big Hollywood reported that Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson spoke at a “Rock the South” festival in Cullman, Alabama that also featured Lynyrd Skynrd and The Charlie Daniels Band.
Robertson’s company recently sold its one-millionth duck call, and Robertson and his son Alan told the crowd they were thankful. Robertson founded the company out of his love for duck hunting, and he now operates a multi-million dollar business. “You don’t think the Almighty ain’t there?,” he said.
He wrapped his speech by telling the crowd to make their collective voice heard in November. Register to vote ... and then make it happen.
"Get your tail down and vote and lets vote this ungodly bunch out of Washington,” he said to cheers from the crowd.
Then there's the question of who to vote in.
The Christian Science Monitor reports Zach Dasher, a pharmaceutical salesman and the nephew of Phil Robertson, said last week that he would run for the U.S. House of Representatives in northeastern Louisiana as a conservative Republican, and has tweeted he’ll appear with Sean Hannity on Fox News on Monday night.
He's running to replace Rep. Vance McAllister, who was elected with Robertson’s support. McAllister first said he wouldn't run after being caught on his own office videotape system kissing a female aide, but is now keeping his electoral options open.
