Hack Comedian Sam Bee Just Admitted It: We Don’t Want to Mock Biden

Sometimes they just go ahead and say out loud what we all know. Late night “comedian” Samantha Bee on Tuesday admitted that she pulls her punches when it comes to Joe Biden. The far-left hack in 2018 screeched that Ivanka Trump was a “feckless cunt.” But when it comes to Biden, “Why would I purposefully undermine something that seems to be a great idea, pretty much across the board? Like, I don’t need to make jokes just to make jokes. Like, I like to make targeted jokes.”

It’s an odd moment when a comedian, who hosts a comedy show says, “I don’t need to make jokes just to make jokes.” Talking to Dan Rather on his Sirius XM Radio show, Bee conceded Rather’s point that she will “pull your punches” on Biden:

I can’t deny that that has happened, I think that’s probably true across the board. You’re like, ‘Okay, well, we could be making jokes about — we could be making jokes about the infrastructure plan,’ but in general, I’m like, ‘Wow, this is great.'

Sadly, none of this is new. In 2020, Late Night host Stephen Colbert abandoned comedy to endorse the “decent,” “honest” Biden. He also bowed before “your excellency” Andrew Cuomo. None of this is humor. It’s Democratic hackery. But that’s what late night “comedy” has become.

DAN RATHER: Do you or do you not find yourself sometimes find yourself at least tempted to kind of pull your punches? In other words, you, myself and a lot of other people, more or less free swingers against President Trump. But now the Biden is in —

SAMANTHA BEE: Sure.

RATHER: I don’t know. Do you find yourself saying, “Boy, I don’t know. There’s a nasty comedy bit I could unload on Biden,” but saying to yourself, “I approve so much I’m going to pull this punch.” Do you find that happening?

BEE: I can’t deny that that has happened, I think that’s probably true across the board. You’re like, ‘Okay, well, we could be making jokes about — we could be making jokes about the infrastructure plan,’ but in general, I’m like, ‘Wow, this is great.' Why would I purposefully undermine something that seems to be a great idea, pretty much across the board? Like, I don’t need to make jokes just to make jokes. Like, I like to make targeted jokes.

There are more worthy targets right now I think. Certainly, we are planning on doing a segment about what’s happening at the border because we really don’t understand it. We really want to understand it. So, you know, they’re not going to be immune to our, like, comedically interrogating what they are doing. It’s not like we are going to back off everything that we do. But there’s plenty of stuff to talk about right now without — Actually, what am I saying? We just did a piece recently about the federal government not supporting individual, independent vaccine — what do you call them? Like, independent pharmacists who are trying to build their own database of people they could give the vaccine to. They really had no federal support. So we made a piece that criticized that. And I think we will not shy away from these conversations.
