After three nights of portraying the United States under Donald Trump as an unrelenting hellscape, the Democratic National Convention on Thursday closed out with attempts at comedy. Seinfeld star Julia Louis-Dreyfus anchored the 9 PM with painful jokes attempting to get people to text the campaign: “An easy way to remember 30330 is that is the year Donald Trump will finally release his tax returns. If we all vote, there is nothing Facebook, Fox News, and Vladimir Putin can do to stop us.”
She continued, “30330. That would be the President's golf score if he didn't cheat. Okay. Look, I'll admit that was a little nasty, but we all know he's a cheater. And I'm proud to be a nasty, nasty woman.” Speaking of cheating, alleged sexual predator Bill Clinton spoke at the Democratic convention on Wednesday night. (Dreyfus gave $600 to Bill Clinton in 1992.)
There was also this cringe-y exchange between Dreyfus and Andrew Yang, attempting to make fun of Vice President Mike Pence:

YANG: Not very American sounding.
DREYFUS: Yeah, that’s what people are saying. Strongly.
