MSNBC, which might as well become known as the George Soros News Network, has continued to go off the deep end when discussing the Trump Administration's policy of enforcing existing immigration laws. During Tuesday's edition of MSNBC Live With Stephanie Ruhle, panelist Rev. Mark Thompson compared President Trump to the Roman Emperor Nero, accusing him of "burning America up" because he wants to destroy the administrative state, citing his actions at the G-7 summit.
The hysteria continued as another panelist, NPR Latino USA host Maria Hinojosa, said she was "worried about how many pedophiles are now signing up to go and work in these places." She then complained that "this administration has created an illegal people overnight" and then brought up how Elie Wiesel said "we were declared an illegal people as Jews," implying that "the level of dehumanization where we have arrived" almost equates with Nazi Germany.
As host Stephanie Ruhle reported from the border town of McAllen, Texas, Rev. Thompson brought up the fact that Attorney General Jeff Sessions had used the Bible passage Romans 13 when defending the Trump Administration’s zero-tolerance immigration policy. According to Thompson, that “actually wasn’t the wrong scripture for Jeff Sessions to use because what that scripture really meant, Romans 13, Paul was speaking to Christians and encouraging them to pick and choose their battles. Go ahead and pay your taxes because Romans in power are hunting us.”
Thompson then mentioned that the emperor at the time was Nero, adding that “Nero ended up burning up Rome and then blaming Obama…I mean Christians for it.” He accidentally began comparing President Trump to Nero a little sooner than he anticipated but he continued the analogy: “What is Trump doing? He is burning up America. Even with this very policy and these haunting images we’re seeing, the audio that we’ve heard, he is burning America up. He said he was going to destroy, even, the administrative state. So this is consistent with everything he’s doing all over the world; the G-7 and everything. It is destructive.”
Ruhle asked Maria Hinojosa for her opinion on why the administration has not released any pictures of young girls in housed in the detention centers along the US-Mexico border. Hinojosa theorized that the administration has a narrative that the illegal immigrant children “are all potential MS-13 gang members.” This narrative greatly contradicts the left’s narrative that all illegal immigrant children are future high school valedictorians and entrepreneurs.
Hinojosa proclaimed “I’m so worried about how many pedophiles are now signing up to go and work in these places,” referring to the facilities near the border where the approximately 12,000 illegal immigrant children who have recently flooded across the border have been detained. It’s great to see Hinojosa so concerned about people taking advantage of the migrant children. Perhaps it never occurred to her that many of these children had been brought into the country by people smugglers and in some cases, the adults with them do not actually have a biological relationship to the child. A 2016 New York Times report highlighting how the Obama Administration placed more than a dozen illegal immigrant children in the hands of human traffickers posing as caregivers should squelch the media’s theory that the idea of fraudulent family units is “fake news.”
Hinojosa complained that “this Administration has created an illegal people overnight” before invoking an increasingly unoriginal comparison to Nazi Germany. She brought up Holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel, who said that “the Nazis had it perfectly correct. They declared us an illegal people. That’s how it began.” She attempted to draw parallels between the Third Reich and Trump’s America by arguing “if you think about the level of dehumanization where we have arrived; where children are being taken, there’s an arc there.”
Even after President Trump signed an executive order that will allow families to remain together in the detention facilities at the US-Mexico Border, his detractors in the media and on the left, who want this issue to loom large in the midterms, will still continue the hysteria until George Soros's dream of a world without borders finally comes to fruition.

REV. MARK THOMPSON: Well, I can’t imagine how any American could benefit from this. But as Bret alluded to, this is somewhat of a, of a culture war. People are being convinced through the power of suggestion. And that 24-hour basic cable channel. As I’ve said, I worked in radio now for a number of years, you know, you hear that song on the radio you don’t like but the radio station keeps playing it and before you know it, you actually sing that song. And this is what Fox has been doing. This is what the Trump Administration has been doing. But I think people need to wake up and realize and since you’ve invoked my title today, you know, that actually wasn’t the wrong scripture for Jeff Sessions to use because what that scripture really meant, Romans 13, Paul was speaking to Christians and encouraging them to pick and choose their battles. Go ahead and pay your taxes because Romans in power are hunting us.
Well, Trump has not even revealed his tax returns. But also at that time, the emperor was Nero. And Nero ended up burning up Rome and then blaming Obama…I mean Christians for it. What is Trump doing? He is burning up America. Even with this very policy and these haunting images we’re seeing, the audio that we’ve heard, he is burning America up. He said he was going to destroy, even, the administrative state. So this is consistent with everything he’s doing all over the world; the G-7 and everything. It is destructive. It’s as if he’s applied shock and awe to the American people themselves. That is his intention. That is his goal. And people would be best to wake up to it as soon as possible.
BRET STEPHENS: You know, one more thing, Stephanie, the thinking behind the, that view is the antithesis of anyone who believes in a free market ought to think. Economics is not a zero sum game. What you give to one group of people is not what you take away from another group of people. Immigrants contribute enormously to the economic well being of their communities and of the overall American economy. Once again, testify to the fact that we have very low unemployment. We could stand much more immigration, not less. And that’s a point that shouldn’t be lost on people who claim or say to themselves that they believe in the free market. Because the economic world view adopted by the Jeff Sessionses of the world looks a lot closer to sort of classic socialism than it does to anyone who has any sort of sense of the economics of a Hayek or a Milton Friedman.
RUHLE: We need to take on income inequality. We need to remember every forgotten American. This policy doesn’t do that. Maria, I want to ask you about all the images we’ve seen of young boys and we haven’t seen any of young girls. What do you make of this?
MARIA HINOJOSA: Well, you know, they’re controlling the narrative. Therefore, they and what I mean is the…
RUHLE: But why, why this narrative?
HINOJOSA: Because it’s, it’s playing into what the President said yesterday, his own words, that these are thieves. It plays into the sense that boys, boys of color, young boys who don’t speak English are a threat, that they are, again, to follow their narrative, that they are all potential MS-13 gang members. So what we’re not seeing, you’re right, are pictures of little girls, right, of their mothers. I mean, I’m just thinking, Stephanie in terms of the logistics of taking care of these people. I’m so worried about how many pedophiles are now signing up to go and work in these places. I mean, just the sheer thought of trying to take care of toddlers, changing diapers. You know what it’s like to have a 3-year-old.And I guess the bigger context for your viewers right is what’s happened now is that this administration has created an illegal people overnight. So they keep on saying, well, we’re just charging them criminally because they are criminals for trying to get into the United States. This was always a misdemeanor, right, that’s how it’s been for the longest time. But overnight, they’ve now created criminals. So people are trying to understand what’s happening here. That’s what happened. And you know what, Elie Wiesel, may he rest in peace, what he said to me was he said, you know, the Nazis had it perfectly correct. They declared us an illegal people. That’s how it began. We were declared an illegal people as Jews. And that follows…it’s a very horrible thing to make these comparisons. But if you think about the level of dehumanization where we have arrived; where children are being taken, there’s an arc there.
RUHLE: I understand the importance of secure borders. I understand the importance of following the law. What I don’t understand is why you would rip children, young children, from their mothers when they are already fleeing for their lives. Thank you so much.
