WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange is scheduled to be one of Bill Maher's guests on HBO's Real Time Friday.
The folks at Monsters and Critics said it best about this matter in their preview of the upcoming program:
"One of the most reviled whistleblowers of modern history is chatting with Bil Maher Friday night on HBO." -- April MacIntyre, Monsters and Critics, February 6, 2013
Yeah, that about says it.
Assange will be Maher's opening interview after the monologue likely via satellite.
Not surprisingly, Assange won't be the only extreme left-winger on the program.
Martin Bashir - one of the most perilously liberal commentators on the so-called "news network" MSNBC - will join economist Robert Barro and theoretical physicist as well as former Obama administration official Lawrence Krauss on the panel.
Also on the docket is the perilously liberal Newsweek/Daily Beast editor Tina Brown who's scheduled to be Maher's mid-show interview.
As said person typically becomes part of the panel discussion, one imagines quite a GOP hatefest will ensue.
I can hardly wait.
