NBC Tonight Show host Jay Leno actually asked guest Barack Obama Wednesday evening, "What is the cure for Romnesia?"
This came as one of the questions posed via Facebook and from members of the studio audience (video follows with transcribed highlights and commentary):
The question came from a Clay Farnsworth, but was read off an index card meaning Leno knew ahead of time this was going to be asked.
For those unfamiliar with the term, it was a new attack started by Obama last Friday claiming that his opponent Mitt Romney has forgotten all the positions who used to have.
Receiving this lay-up from Leno, Obama said just as he has on the campaign trail about “Romnesia,” “Well, ObamaCare covers pre-existing conditions.”
After some laughter and applause, the President continued, “If you have a case, the main cure is to make sure you vote.”
Nice job of picking questions, Jay!
Makes you wonder if he got assistance from CNN's Candy Crowley.
