TikTok Ramblings: Rosie O’Donnell Claims ABC to ‘Cancel’ The View

August 7th, 2025 11:59 AM

In a Wednesday TikTok post that resembled the scribblings of a madman, “comedian” Rosie O’Donnell sought to warn her followers that her old haunt, ABC’s The View was about to be canceled because of their “liberal bias.” She proclaimed that it was another example of the “fascism” of “the orange messiah” (President Trump) trying to “silence” women with opinions, and invoked phrases used for warning about Nazism and the Holocaust.

“You know what I just read today? ABC is ‘reviewing the liberal bias’ on The View. The VIEW,” she wrote. “The show with five women speaking the [sic] opinions -  That’s the threat now.”

According to O’Donnell, an uncited “they” (presumably the network) were “reviewing the bias” of the show, which she took to mean “code for – we’re gonna cancel it we’re just trying to soften you up first[.]” Adding: “Because it’s not enough to run the country into the ground You have to control what people SEE What they HEAR What they think[.]”

(EDITOR’S NOTE: We’re trying to keep O’Donnell’s writings as close to how she typed them as we can. If you see odd capitalizations or punctuation, it’s how she meant for it to be seen. Apparently. Some period marks are added to ease reading.)

In describing how she thought The View posed a “threat” to the Trump administration, O’Donnell suggested the “they” thought it was “a little too much woman – a little too much truth […] Apparently, the truth is dangerous now[.]”

“They say they want ‘balance.’ But what they mean is silence. Silence anything that doesn’t praise the orange messiah and his golden escalator of lies,” she asserted, without evidence.

In a pair of studies published last month, NewsBusters exposed the far-left bias of The View, a “news” program presented by ABC. Of the 102 guests that discussed politics on The View, all of them were liberals with ZERO conservatives. NewsBusters also showed that the news program had abandoned the practice of issuing legal notes at the same time they were pushing unfounded conspiracy theories about the Trump administration (like him rigging the 2024 election).

O’Donnell laughably tried to claim there was no unified liberal bloc on The View by suggesting they couldn’t agree on practically anything: “And I’ve done THE VIEW – twice  I know how hard it is to get four women to agree on lunch – let alone politics So don’t tell me The View is some radical leftist threat[.]”

Clearly, O’Donnell hadn’t watched the show in quite a while. In addition to NewsBusters’ studies, it was a big deal on the show when faux conservative co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin came out in support of former Vice President Kamala Harris for president; joining her five other co-hosts. Moderator Whoopi Goldberg, had also made it clear in the latter half of their 28th season that the show was meant to push Democratic Party talking points and work to get them elected to offices.

Invoking phrases that warned of the Holocaust, O’Donnell continued: “First they came for the journalists Then the educators then the librarians [.] Now, it’s Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg[.]”

If you were to take O’Donnell’s word for it, The View was the only thing keeping America teetering the right side of the abyss:

So here’s my question: When they cancel The View— who’s gonna be left to say, “This is insane”?

Because this isn’t just about a TV show. It’s about what happens when powerful men decide they’ve hear enough from women.

When they label truth as bias, and disagreement as danger, and they start scrubbing the airwaves of anyone who makes them uncomfortable.

What they’re really trying to do is shut us up. All of us
And we’ve seen what happens when women are silenced.
History has shown us— over and over and over— that when women stop speaking, things fall apart.

“Because the most dangerous sound in the world is a woman who knows what she’s talking about— and refuses to stop,” O’Donnell, the 9-11 truther, concluded.
