NewsBusters Podcast: Comey’s Seashore Seashells, Tapper’s Credibility Burn

NewsBusters Managing Editor Curtis Houck is back from vacation and joins me in discussing the liberal media’s largely muted response to disgraced former FBI Director James Comey’s seashore seashells threat against President Trump. We also call out the false penance Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson as, at least based on the earlier excerpts of their book, they tried to reframe the left’s failure to acknowledge President Biden’s plummeting mental acuity.

Comey might be trying to sell seashells down by the seashore, but we weren’t buying his pathetic excuse that he didn’t know what “86 47” meant. Curtis walks us through his coverage and analysis of the broadcast networks’ Friday morning reporting of the dust up.

Of course, based Tony Dokoupil over at CBS Mornings thought Comey was being ridiculous.

We also tear into Tapper and his fake humility in writing a book about the cover-up of Biden’s swift mental decline. A book more about shifting blame to Democrats rather than call out the media for attempting to gaslight the American people for years.

As I point out in our discussion, it’s less about seeking accountability and more about covering their asses.
