Sparks flew on Wednesday’s edition of The View as co-hosts Alyssa Farah Griffin and Sunny Hostin clashed over Republican primary candidates. Hostin, who’s a racist and mentally unstable, caused an embarrassing scene as she personally attacked Farah Griffin and wouldn’t let her speak in her own defense. Moderator Whoopi Goldberg was forced to go to a commercial because of Hostin’s behavior, but not before Farah Griffin invoked the name of the show’s founder: Barbara Walters.
Hostin’s childish fit came as they were discussing former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie joining the race. “He's a spineless soulless – That’s – that’s – that’s – that’s – that’s - that’s - that’s – that’s – Chris Christie is – is – is – is not a factor here in – in my view,” she struggled to get her hatred out.
According to her, he only joined the race because “he wants power.” “How does he get the power by entering in the race, though, knowing he can’t win?” Farah Griffin, the self-described conservative wondered.
That simple question to probe Hostin’s logic triggered a complete mental meltdown, lashing out at Farah Griffin directly and refusing to let her respond (Click “expand”):
HOSTIN: I think he thinks he's special! But what scares me, Alyssa, is that you are incapable of defending a man that you worked for. That you know of.
FARAH GRIFFIN: I am – oh, no, no. Why don’t you ask me a question rather than –
HOSTIN: And you’re saying you need to hear –
JOY BEHAR: I did ask you a question.
HOSTIN: – she did. And you said that you needed to hear more from him. And I don't need to hear more from Pence for several reasons.
“Well, you just accused me of something, so why don't you let me actually answer? You’re not going to vote for a Republican ever,” Farah Griffin attempted to push back. “Nope. Nope. Nope. I'm going to finish what I'm going to say,” the self-entitled, chronically aggrieved multimillionaire shot back, suggesting “a lot of people died because of” former Vice President Mike Pence when he was governor of Indiana during the AIDS epidemic.
Farah Griffin called out Hostin’s hypocrisy in supporting bad candidates because she defended Cornel West on Tuesday despite his support for America’s adversaries like Russia. Hostin continued refusing Farah Griffin the chance to respond:
FARAH GRIFFIN: I mean, you just defended Cornel West yesterday, who would destroy our country so-
HOSTIN: I’m still speaking. I'm still speaking. He was also a parrot for Trump. He spearheaded –
BEHAR: Don’t make this personal. Let’s hear.
HOSTIN: Spearheaded the Trump – He spear –
“Sunny likes to make it personal with me. Are you going to give me a chance to answer?” Farah Griffin pressed the rest of the cast. “Well, I’m just speaking the truth,” Hostin sneered.
Appearing to finally grow a spine, Farah Griffin invoked the show’s founder and blasted Hostin for treating the show as her own fiefdom:
FARAH GRIFFIN: This is not what the show is about. This is Barbara Walters’ legacy. Let a woman speak.
HOSTIN: It’s everybody’s view. It’s everybody’s view.
FARAH GRIFFIN: It’s everybody’s view? No, it’s Sunny Hostin’s view.
Interestingly, Farah Griffin got applause from the normally liberal audience who sat there awkwardly for most of Hostin’s tirade.
Co-hosts Sara Haines and Joy Behar tried to intercede on Farah Griffin’s behalf but were also steamrolled by their unhinged fellow. “Are you going to keep going or am I going to get a chance?” Farah Griffin shouted in frustration. “I’m not giving up because I’m not finished,” Hostin told her.
Completely fed up with the spectacle, Goldberg brought the hammer down and went to a commercial. “I feel like I need to go to break now,” she said in disgust. “So, maybe we need to just figure out how we do this again. Let's have this break and let's figure out how we're going to make this work. We'll be right back.”
“It’s hard when you’re being interrupted. It’s hard when you’re being interrupted,” Hostin whined.
Following the break, things were calmed down and they proceeded without incident.
Sunny Hostin’s hatred was made possible because lucrative sponsorships from CarShield and Unilever. Their contact information is linked.

SUNNY HOSTIN: That's not Chris Christie. He's a spineless soulless – That’s - that’s - that’s – that’s – that’s - that’s - that’s – that’s - Chris Christie is – is – is – is not a factor here in - in my view.
SARA HAINES: Why do you think he’s joining?
HOSTIN: I think he’s pugilistic. I think he wants power. I think he wants so much power that in 2017, he closed public beaches to all of New Jersey except for his family and his son so he could have his son’s birthday party on the beach. I think he thinks he's special!
ALYSSA FARAH GRIFF: How does he get the power by entering in the race, though, knowing he can’t win?
HOSTIN: I think he thinks he's special! But what scares me, Alyssa, is that you are incapable of defending a man that you worked for. That you know of.
FARAH GRIFFIN: I am – Oh, no, no. Why don’t you ask me a question rather than --
HOSTIN: And you’re saying you need to hear--
JOY BEHAR: I did ask you a question.
HOSTIN: She did. And you said that you needed to hear more from him. And I don't need to hear more from Pence for several reasons. Because when I lived in Indiana –
FARAH GRIFFIN: Well, you just accused me of something, so why don't you let me actually answer. You’re not going to vote for a Republican ever.
HOSTIN: Nope. Nope. Nope. I'm going to finish what I'm going to say. The thing about Pence here is that when lived in Indiana and I went to Notre Dame, he had a terrible approval rating because of the way he treated the AIDS crisis. Awful. Lot of people died because of him. Lot of people died because of how he handled the COVID crisis.
FARAH GRIFFIN: I mean, you just defended Cornell West yesterday, who would destroy our country so-
HOSTIN: I’m still speaking. I'm still speaking. He was also a parrot for Trump. He spearheaded –
BEHAR: Don’t make this personal. Let’s hear.
HOSTIN: Spearheaded the Trump – He spear –
FARAH GRIFFIN: Sunny likes to make it personal with me. Are you going to give me a chance to answer?
HOSTIN: Well, I’m just speaking the truth. Spearheading troop – Trump’s COVID agenda of downplaying the virus.
[Applause]
HOSTIN: And Pence did not quarantine himself –
HAINES: And Joy, you didn’t ask her to defend. You asked why would someone vote for him.
BEHAR: Yes.
FARAH GRIFFIN (to Hostin): Are you going to keep going or are am I going to get a chance?
HOSTIN: I’m not giving up because I’m not finished.
BEHAR: Yes. Let her answer my question.
GOLDBERG: I feel like I need to go to break now.
[Crosstalk]
[Applause]
BEHAR: No, no, no. She’s ready to answer the question.
GOLDBERG Because I can't hear anybody saying anything.
HOSTIN: It’s hard when you’re being interrupted. It’s hard when you’re being interrupted.
GOLDBERG: So, maybe we need to just figure out how we do this again. Let's have this break and let's figure out how we're going to make this work. We'll be right back.
