Another slanted liberal “news” outlet has felt the sting of justice. In a Friday evening tweet from the defamed man himself, former Covington High School student Nicholas Sandmann announced that he had settled his defamation suit with NBC News for an undisclosed amount of money.
With little fanfare, Sandmann posted a tweet reading: “At this time I would like to release that NBC and I have reached a settlement. The terms are confidential.” The lucrative victory came after a long legal battle spanning years with some “huge win[s]” along the way.

Sandmann sued NBC for over $250 million after they, and many other networks, defamed him as a racist for standing still while being assailed by leftist radicals on the stairs of the Lincoln Memorial. He was there on a trip to attend the March for Life in 2019.
In an interview with Today co-host Savanna Guthrie, Sandmann was accused of being the one in the wrong that day. "Do you feel, from this experience, that you owe anybody an apology? Do you see your own fault in any way," she grilled the innocent teen.
Among the other liberal news outlets, he’s sued for defamation were CNN and The Washington Post, both of which were sued for over $250 million each. It actually took CNN a while to report that they were being sued by the high school student they tried to slander.
Sandmann settled with CNN in early 2020 for an undisclosed amount as well. And the suit against The Post was settled in the summer of that same year. Further, the suit against The Post was settled on his 18th birthday. Again, the amount was not disclosed.
The combined amount CNN, NBC, and The Post were being used for was over $800 million. But in the spring of 2020, Sandmann and his legal team expanded the scope of the outlets he was suing to include ABC, CBS, Gannett, The New York Times, and Rolling Stone.
Last month, Sandmann penned an op-ed for the U.K.-based Daily Mail where he advised innocent self-defender Kyle Rittenhouse on suing the media for defamation. “Should Kyle sue? It first depends on what happens in the trial, as those elements would come into play were he found guilty. However, if Kyle is innocent it would create an easier road to winning,” he wrote.
Rittenhouse seemed to take Sandmann’s advice to heart because, during an exclusive interview with Fox News Channel’s Tucker Carlson post-trial, Rittenhouse seemed to hint defamation suits were being drawn up.
“I have really good lawyers who are taking care of that right now. So, I'm hoping one day, there will be some -- there will be accountability for their actions that they did,” he told Carlson while repeatedly saying felt “defamed” by the liberal media.
On his own legal fights with the media, Sandmann added:
I personally am still involved in six media lawsuits as January approaches marking three years since the confrontation took place at the March for Life. So, if Kyle is prepared to take on another burden in his early life, with the acceptance that it might result in nothing, I answer, give it a shot and hold the media accountable.
