Under the Radar: Nets Skip Biden’s Secret Night Flights for Illegals

October 19th, 2021 10:37 PM

“Biden’s Secret Flights.” That's what the front page of Tuesday’s edition of the New York Post blared as they exposed how the administration was chartering private jets in the dead of night of send unaccompanied minors across the country. Of course, the evening newscasts of ABC, CBS, and NBC were uninterested in President Biden’s ongoing and worsening crisis on the southern border, which included a spike of criminal illegals crossing the border.

As NewsBusters previously reported, instead of reporting on those flights that evening, ABC’s World News Tonight was busy touting a transgendered “woman” being installed as a four-star general. On the CBS Evening News, they were hawking and huffing about cops and firefighters who would rather lose their jobs than getting vaccinated. And for their part, NBC Nightly News touted a handful of parents and liberal teachers opposing a school board doing away with Critical Race Theory.

“The New York Post reveals the Biden administration uses nighttime charter flights from Texas to transport unaccompanied minors to relatives or sponsors at locations far from the border,” Fox News Channel senior correspondent Eric Shawn reported on Special Report.

After noting that the Post had “spotted this World Atlantic Airlines MB-38 charter plane” being used for these flights, Shawn chronicled its recent journey:

The World Atlantic Airlines plane has really hopped around. Last Friday, starting at the crack of dawn at 6:37 a.m. It flew from McAllen, Texas, to Villahermosa, Mexico. A possible expulsion flight sending Central American migrants back to Mexico. It returned to McAllen and then jumped to El Paso. And the 2:04 p.m. Headed east to Jacksonville, Florida before finally flying north to Westchester touching down there at 9:52 p.m.

Shawn used a soundbite of Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz speaking with Fox earlier in the day, where he seemed to predict the future: “Joe Biden and Kamala Harris caused this. And their entire strategy is ignore it and they are counting on the corrupt corporate media to ignore it as well.”

And while she did argue the semantics of precisely what time the planes took off, Press Secretary Jen Psaki argued they were following the law. “Under what’s known as the federal Flores agreement, the administration has to release unaccompanied minors within 20 days, which is why they are being flown to places that can take them,” Shawn noted

“Well, this morning that plane was back in the air. It took off early from McAllen, Texas and right now, is on the ground in Mexico. No word on where the next distinction is but we’ll keep tabs on where it is going,” Shawn concluded.

Immediately following that report, anchor Bret Baier announced they were “learning new information tonight about the danger posed to Americans by some of the illegal immigrants flowing into this country.”

According to correspondent Mike Tobin, “Border Patrol agents confirm criminals are among those stopped at the border.” They included hardened gang members:

Last Thursday and Saturday, El Salvadorian migrants were rounded up in Hidalgo, Texas. Background checks reviled three members of the violent MS-13 gang. One individual with a murder conviction as well as attempted murder. One of the migrants previously made it to Dallas where he racked up a conviction for assault and now faces a warrant for sexual assault of a minor.

“And that's a concern all across the southern border. As the deadly summer heat eases allowing for safer passage, traditionally the number of people attempting a crossing only increases from this point forward,” he warned.

This omission of President Biden’s border crisis was made possible because of lucrative sponsorships from Ring on ABC, Amazon on CBS, and  GEICO on NBC. Their contact information is linked so you can tell them about the biased news they fund.

BRET BAIER: And senior correspondent Eric Shawn in New York with word the Biden administration has been secretly flying underage migrants to places far away from the border.

They are young migrants, teenagers and kids, flown in from the southern border in the dead of night. The New York Post reveals the Biden administration uses nighttime charter flights from Texas to transport unaccompanied minors to relatives or sponsors at locations far from the border.

The paper spotted this World Atlantic Airlines MB-38 charter plane that arrived Friday night at the Westchester County Airport north of New York City just before 10:00 P.M. But some flights have arrived as late as 2:00 and 4:00 in the morning. Texas Senator Ted Cruz wants them grounded.

SEN. TED CRUZ (R-TX): Their entire political strategy is based on secrecy. [Transition] Joe Biden and Kamala Harris caused this. And their entire strategy is ignore it and they are counting on the corrupt corporate media to ignore it as well. So, of course, they fly in the middle of the night because they have no defense.

SHAWN: The World Atlantic Airlines plane has really hopped around.

PRESS SEC. JEN PSAKI: I'm not sure it's in the middle of the night.

SHAWN: White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki says the administration is only carrying out the law. Under what’s known as the federal Flores agreement, the administration has to release unaccompanied minors within 20 days, which is why they are being flown to places that can take them.

PSAKI: It's no surprise that kids can be seen traveling through states not just to New York. It's something that we are also working to unite children with their family members or vetted sponsors in other parts of the country as well.

SHAWN: Well, this morning that plane was back in the air. It took off early from McAllen, Texas and right now, is on the ground in Mexico. No word on where the next distinction is but we’ll keep tabs on where it is going. Bret.

BAIER: Eric Shawn in New York City. Eric, thank you.

We are learning new information tonight about the danger posed to Americans by some of the illegal immigrants flowing into this country. Senior correspondent Mike Tobin is in La Joya, Texas tonight with chilling details.

MIKE TOBIN: Border Patrol agents confirm criminals are among those stopped at the border.

On Monday, Border Patrol agents uncovered two stash houses lacking basically necessities in Penitas, Texas with 39 migrants total, unaccompanied minors in their ranks.

Most immigrants don't hide, rather, they seek out the authorities. Anticipating they will get help and be able to stay in the U.S. Our cameras captured one family that came across to La Joya, Texas Monday night reporting directly to Border Patrol.

Customs and Border Protection has already counted 1.5 million apprehensions at the southwest border. When the tally for the fiscal year is completed, 2021 could set a record.

LT. GOV. DAN PATRICK (R-TX): The Border Patrol down there, good men and women, they’re overrun. Basically, they’re like clerks of the hotel checking people into the country. We have no border security other than what Texas is providing.

TOBIN: While Texas sees the greatest number of border crossings, they are increasing at a faster rate in Arizona than all the border states. Trail cameras catch migrants on the move to Tucson or Huma. Agents say they are carrying everything from drugs to guns or just supplies for survival. Apprehensions on the Arizona border jumped from 800 last October under President Trump to 17,000 in August under President Biden. A 1,038 percent increase.

SEN. LINDSEY GRAHAM (R-SC): Word is out this is where you come to claim asylum. They’ll never send you back. If you don't fix that, the good people of this part of Arizona, you’re going to be overrun.

[Cuts back to live]

TOBIN: And that's a concern all across the southern border. As the deadly summer heat eases allowing for safer passage, traditionally the number of people attempting a crossing only increases from this point forward. Bret?

BAIER: Mike Tobin along the border in La Joya, Mike, thank you.
