In this week's edifying episode of the NewsBusters Podcast, Executive Editor Tim Graham explains how the national newspapers and networks haven't so much covered Senate candidate Raphael Warnock as covered up for him. They only wanted voters to know he was the second coming of Martin Luther King, Jr, and he was "no radical."
While both Georgia Senate races were tight, Rev. Warnock got the most votes, perhaps in part to glowing media coverage that sounded more like advertising. Even on Sunday and Monday, the nation's leading papers were touting Warnock for telling "uncomfortable truths" about America.
NB's Bill D'Agostino pops in to discuss his latest video compilation, which reminds everyone that the Democrats have contested the Electoral College votes in Congress in previous years. His video concentrates on the election of 2004, when the media treated the exercise by Sen. Barbara Boxer and other leftists as a reasonable and valid effort to shine light on claimed “irregularities.”
