Hollywood hypocrite Mark Ruffalo – most famous for his role as the Hulk from the movie franchise The Avengers, tweeted a plea to President Obama to defund police departments all across the country because of ”bad cops.” Of course, his request for such an executive order came after the deaths of two black men and five Dallas police officers last week.
This past Monday, the 48-year-old actor posted a link on his Twitter page asking his fans to sign a petition asking Obama for an executive order on guns:
Defund bad cops and police departments. Tell Obama: We need an executive order! https://t.co/rpRepf9fAT #DefundPolice
— Mark Ruffalo (@MarkRuffalo) July 12, 2016
The petition read, in part: “Congress and the Obama administration are spending millions of dollars every year giving grants to the same police departments that are killing and over-incarcerating Black people — and it has to stop.”
Later, it added:
Our criminal justice system is not properly holding police accountable. We must defund police departments that employ officers who are quick to kill and condone practices that do not value Black life. Our nation, politicians and many police are in agreement that police departments need reform, however, no one is ensuring this reform happens -and more and more Black people are getting killed because of it.
Ruffalo faced some backlash against his own fans, many of whom scolded him for not respecting those who keep us safe.
@MarkRuffalo show some respect to the officers who keep us safe.

Others weren’t as gracious in their tweets:
@MarkRuffalo they would be ok bye and move to a sain town...dumbest shit I have ever heard...I mean really...wow!

This isn’t the first ridiculous statement concerning the issue of gun control. Last December he tweeted “Begin again…The Second Amendment Was Never Meant to Protect an Individual’s Right to a Gun,” shortly after the San Bernardino shootings.
Of course, those shootings were committed by terrorists who wanted to kill as many Americans as they could — whether using guns, bombs or grenades and he hasn’t called on those funding terrorist organizations (e.g. Iran) to seize their investments.
