Huffington Post Pulls Story Claiming Hillary Would Be Indicted

May 31st, 2016 2:17 PM

Frank Huguenard, a Huffington Post freelance writer, wrote a story on Sunday titled, “Hillary Clinton to be Indicted On Federal Racketeering Charges.” Only one problem – after the piece was published on the leftwing site it suddenly vanished.  What was supposed to be Huguenard’s story was now replaced with one of those annoying “404” Error screens.

Huguenard, who also happens to be a scientist and public speaker, spoke to Breitbart News on Monday, stating that the liberal news outlet has yet to respond to his request for an explanation of the retraction, and maintains, “I’ve got my sources, they never asked.”

Huguenard also stated, “I want to do another story but my HuffPo account has been temporarily disabled. Not sure what’s happening with them.”

When Huffington Post Politics senior editor Sam Stein was contacted by Breitbart News, Stein claims he doesn’t know the reason for the retraction and directed them to the blog editor. Asked for contact information for the blog editor, Stein went radio silent.

Snopes.com is already pooh-poohing the story:

WHAT'S FALSE: No one else has reported on anything similar Huguenaud's [sic] claims, and his article provided no citations nor any credible information suggesting there was any truth to his claims.

Huguenard’s missing story included information that the FBI would recommend indicting Clinton on racketeering charges.  He wrote:

James Comey and The FBI will present a recommendation to Loretta Lynch, Attorney General of the Department of Justice, that includes a cogent argument that the Clinton Foundation is an ongoing criminal enterprise engaged in money laundering and soliciting bribes in exchange for political, policy and legislative favors to individuals, corporations and even governments both foreign and domestic.

Breitbart observed a note at the bottom of the original story, stating, “This post is hosted on the Huffington Post’s Contributor platform. Contributors control their own work and post freely to our site. If you need to flag this entry as abusive, send us an email.”

No comment yet from the Huffington Post, and most likely there won’t be one.
