Update: 4/8/20 4:30 pm EDT
After whining on today's Morning Joe that Tucker Carlson was attacking him, Emanuel was back at it on Nicolle Wallace's MSNBC show this afternoon, again kvetching about being attacked by Tucker. There's a whiff of egomania about Emanuel, too, as he named himself, along with Dr. Fauci and Bill Gates, as part of a trio of people being attacked. Sorry, Zeke: you're just not in their league.

On his Fox News show last night, Tucker Carlson noted that experts, including Dr. Zeke Emanuel [of the hard-left Center for American Progress], are saying society cannot return to normal for at least 18 months. Carlson pointed out how wrong those same experts have been when it came to projecting hospitalization rates, needed numbers of ventilators, etc.
On today's Morning Joe, Emanuel called Carlson a "right-wing clone" of President Trump, and whined that Tucker was "attacking" him. Emanuel claimed he was merely promoting "physical distancing."

Tucker Carlson Tonight
4/7/20
8:11 pm EDTTUCKER CARLSON: So life may never return to normal in this country. We may never regain what we’ve lost. You’re hearing a lot of people say that all of a sudden. It’s becoming a species of conventional wisdom. On MSNBC last night, where conventional wisdom often is born, U. Penn professor Zeke Emanuel explained that America would be shuttered for 18 months, at least!
ZEKE EMANUEL: Realistically, COVID-19 will be here for the next 18 months or more. We will not be able to return to normalcy until we find a vaccine or effective medications. I know that's dreadful news to hear. How are people supposed to find work if this goes on in some form for a year-and-a-half? Is all that economic pain worth trying to stop COVID-19? The truth is, we have no choice. If we prematurely end that physical distancing on the other measures keeping it at bay, deaths could skyrocket into the hundreds of thousands, if not a million.

Morning Joe

6:46 am EDTZEKE EMANUEL: And now what we're seeing is that the president, and by the way, his right-wing clones in the media like Tucker Carlson, are attacking people for saying how bad this could be. So yesterday, Tucker Carlson took after Bill Gates, Dr. Fauci, and myself, when we were all saying, listen, if we don't do physical distancing, we are going to have hundreds of thousands of people die. And, instead of dealing with the fact that we need the physical distancing, they were attacking the messenger.
In fact, Emanuel had gone well beyond preaching physical distancing. He said that for "18 months or more" we must accept "all that economic pain" because "we have no choice." If we do not, he predicted: "deaths could skyrocket into the hundreds of thousands, if not a million."
