Liberal Websites Bash Steven Crowder for Not Having Pre-Marital Sex

Waiting to have sex until marriage? How 19th Century! According to liberal websites like “Jezebel” and “The Stir,” saving oneself for marriage is too old and out-dated for this “progressive” world we live in.

Cue outrage from liberal mouthpieces when Steven Crowder, a conservative commentator and Fox News contributor, published his testimony on why he remained celibate until marriage.

“Do yours the right way. If you’re young and wondering whether you should wait, whether you should just give in, become a live-in harlot/mimbo and do it the world’s way. If you’re wondering whether all of the mocking, the ridicule, the incredible difficulty of saving yourself for your spouse is worth it, let me tell you without a doubt
that it is,” Crowder encouraged his readers.

Liberals are aghast that a young Christian couple would want to uphold their morality and abstain from sex.

On Jezebel, Lindy West’s derisive take was posted under “In Case You Haven’t Barfed Today,
Here Comes the Stupidest Fox News Article of All Time.” West decided that Crowder’s column was about saying “he's better than you because he didn't put his penis inside anything for hella years and then married a stranger.”

In a “Guardian” article ironically titled, “The Moral Case for Sex Before Marriage,” Jill Filipovic slights both Crowder and anyone else who wishes to retain their purity.

“Purity peddlers construct a false universe where there are pure virgins who wait until marriage, and then there are slutty whores who are going home with different men every night of the week,” Filipovic snidely wrote.

Filipovic’s defining evidence that pre-marital sex is best is based on a selfish, worldly view. Sex makes humans happy so therefore they should indulge all they want.

Her article stated, “In terms of happiness, sex is better than money, and having sex once a week instead of once a month is the "happiness equivalent" of an extra $50,000 a year.”

Such a compelling argument. The myth that money = happiness has been debunked numerous times and so has the fact that people who are sexually active are happier than those who aren’t.

What Filipovic left out of her article is the rising amount of young adults (mostly women) who suffer emotionally and physically with their decision to have sex outside of marriage.

Last January The Christian Institute reported on a new study that related happiness to a couple’s sex life.

“Sociologist Mark Regnerus of the University of Texas, who was not involved in the study, said: “'Couples who hit the honeymoon too early – that is, prioritize sex promptly at the outset of a relationship – often find their relationships underdeveloped when it comes to the qualities that make relationships stable and spouses reliable and trustworthy.”

But to liberal media types, that’s heresy. To them, it’s perfectly acceptable to demand the government pay for your birth control, and beyond pale to suggest abstinence until marriage.
