NBC's Mitchell: Gay Marriage Push 'Moving in the Right Direction'

Moderating a Google+ Hangout of gay rights activists on Monday afternoon in preparation for upcoming Supreme Court rulings on gay marriage, NBC correspondent Andrea Mitchell threw in some advocacy of her own, noting that the effort to push gay marriage was "taking longer than anyone would want, but it's moving in the right direction."

The theme of the discussion was how successful Hollywood has been at promoting the gay marriage movement and featured guests that included "It Gets Better" campaign founder Dan Savage, "NOH8" campaign founder Adam Bouska, and actor Tate Donovan.

Mitchell confirmed the findings of a recent Pew Research Center study that discovered a dramatic media slant in favor of gay marriage.
