Both ABC and NBC’s nightly news broadcasts on Thursday shared a video of Hillary Clinton losing her temper when asked a question at a rally by a Bernie Sanders supporter. The video posted by environmental activist group GreenPeace shows Hillary Clinton ranting and pointing her finger in the face of the questioner. While CBS found time to include Clinton and Sanders’ criticism of Donald Trump, they ignored the less-than-flattering video of Clinton.
On NBC, Lester Holt called the exchange, “high drama” toting the new video showed Clinton “losing her temper” while “being pressed by an environmental activist.” Correspondent Kasie Hunt echoed Clinton was “flashing anger” before playing the video.
In the video, played by ABC as well,, a Sanders supporter asks Clinton: “Will you act on your word and reject fossil fuel money in the future in your campaign?”
Clinton then loses it, pointing her finger in the face of the young woman and ranting that she was “sick of the Sanders campaign lying about me.”
NBC added another video of Sanders protesters chanting at a recent Clinton rally where she sarcastically says that she’s “very sorry” they’re leaving.
ABC also reported on the video. World News Tonight anchor David Muir called it a “fiery response” before playing the video.Muir let Sanders have the last word, reporting that his campaign “fired back” saying that Clinton has indeed taken contributions, from fossil fuel lobbyists.
