ABC's Good Morning America kicked off their Easter Sunday broadcast by hyping so-called "growing community outrage" over the two insurrectionist Democrat Tennessee state representatives who were expelled for whipping up a mob on the House floor. Not only did Good Morning America parrot the Democrat Party line on this controversy, but they barely aired any opposition from Republicans. The only soundbite played was a brief clip of Tennessee Republican House Speaker Cameron Sexton from his interview on Fox News Channel's morning show Fox & Friends.
Weekend co-anchor Janai Norman opened by hyping how "some voters in Tennessee react with outrage to the Republican led expulsion of two black lawmakers from the state House of Representatives."
Correspondent Faith Abubey picked up the Democrat Party stenography from there and proclaimed that while "Justin Pearson and Justin Jones may no longer be state lawmakers here in Tennessee," Jones told her "he's still representing his constituents in exile."
"Growing community outrage over the expulsion of two Democrats. Former state representatives Justin Pearson and Justin Jones from the Tennessee state legislature," Abubey huffed.
After airing soundbites from various leftists who were angry at the GOP for expelling Jones & Pearson, Abubey managed to fit in one from the Tennessee Republican Speaker Cameron Sexton. Unfortunately it was only two full sentences long:
SEXTON: We have decorum, we have process, we have procedures. Imagine if that happened on the congressional floor during his state of the union address and people took over in front of him, pulled out a bullhorn.
There were seven soundbites in total. Only one was from the Republican side. The others were from four Democrat voters or supporters of Jones & Pearson, a soundbite from Jones himself, and the Democrat Vice Mayor of Nashville Jim Shulman who told ABC that he had received a lot of calls and emails in support of Jones & Pearson.
This biased segment from ABC's GMA was made possible by Geico. Their information is linked.
