For the second time this week, radical leftist professor and MSNBC contributor Jason Johnson put his foot in his mouth and embarrassed himself on national television with his deranged and fact-free commentary. Days after claiming Florida is "all crystal meth and alligators," Johnson went on MSNBC's The 11th Hour to claim there is no Republican Party, and that they are just a front for a terrorist organization.
The comments came during a discussion over House Republican Speaker Kevin McCarthy's decision to provide the unreleased security camera footage from the riots on January 6 to Fox News host Tucker Carlson.
When host Stephanie Ruhle asked Johnson what he thought, he replied that he thinks what McCarthy did was "terrible" and unleashed a nasty and obviously false attack on the Republican Party:
I'm not being incendiary when I say this, I've been saying this for a long time, Stephanie. There is no Republican Party. They're a dime store front for a terrorist organization. You took an investigation into a federal attack, an attack on our federal government, and gave it to a journalist who is a supporter of terrorism. This is dangerous.
Johnson crowed that the footage is "now in Tucker Carlson's hands," and whined that Carlson "doesn’t have security clearance."
Turning conspiratorial, Johnson worried how "we don't know if it ends with Tucker Carlson! He can hand it to anybody else. He can hand it to Jesse Waters, right? He can hand it to anybody. All sorts of incompetent people who are in favor of overthrowing this government in a violent fashion."
Doubling down on his smears of Carlson as a terrorist, Johnson ended his bizarre ramblings by crying how "there are terrorists in this world, [and] some in Congress right now, who want to overthrow our legitimately elected government. And they’ve just given this man information that he can distribute to anybody."

There is no Republican Party. They're a dime store front for a terrorist organization. You took an investigation into a federal attack, an attack on our federal government, and gave it to a journalist who is a supporter of terrorism. This is dangerous.
Congressman Raskin just mentioned, hey look we tried, to be careful with some of this information to make sure that camera angles and security places, weren't hidden escape routes. All of that is now in Tucker Carlson's hands. This man doesn’t have security clearance. This man has less of a security clearance than Jared Kushner was supposed to get. And the idea that he’s going to be—we don't know if it ends with Tucker Carlson! He can hand it to anybody else.
He can hand it to Jesse Waters, right? He can hand it to anybody. All sorts of incompetent people who are in favor of overthrowing this government in a violent fashion. So, I see it as really problematic. I don’t care about the PR aspect of it. Whoever watches Tucker Carlson believes what he has to say anyway. But there are dangerous people in this world and there are terrorists in this world, some in Congress right now, who want to overthrow our legitimately elected government. And they’ve just given this man information that he can distribute to anybody. I think it’s a real danger.
