NBC: Biden Challenges Are Due to Communications, Not Policy Failures

October 16th, 2022 1:39 PM

On NBC's Meet the Press, frequent NBC guest and president of the leftist political advocacy group Voto Latino Maria Teresa Kumar sought to explain away President Joe Biden's historic unpopularity as simply an issue of a failure to communicate his message to voters rather than it being that his policies are unpopular. This is a common message from leftist media when a Democrat President is unpopular. It's never that his policies are unpopular, he just failed to get the message out.

Referring to Biden and his disastrous poll numbers, Kumar whined that "his challenge is that he hasn't been able to communicate to the American people what he's done."

Attempting to compare Biden to former President Donald Trump, Kumar claimed "the difference between Donald Trump and the difference with Biden, is Biden is a policy President so he's going to make fundamental changes for a generation."

"But the difference with Trump is that his consequence is not policy it's his legacy of undermining elections," she cried. "Not just him, but he actually has a cadre of individuals right now seeking office that are election deniers. And that legacy is far more dangerous for a modern-day President. He believes in undermining our democracy."

Former North Carolina Republican governor and NBC panelist Pat McCrory jumped in to correct Kumar: "Biden can’t go on TV because 401ks are down 20-25 percent because of the price of eggs is more than we ever paid in our lifetime. Because gas is going up. The Democrats don't want Biden around."

Being the Democrat Party propagandist that he is, host Cuck Todd interjected that "Democrats do want one Democratic President campaigning for them, it’s the former Democratic President who we're going to see a lot of I think in the last three weeks."

Todd was referring to the news that former President Barack Obama will be hitting the campaign trail for endangered Democrat Senate and House candidates.

MARIA TERESA KUMAR: But I also think that with Biden, his challenge is that he hasn't been able to communicate to the American people what he's done. I mean we can say that the difference between Donald Trump and the difference with Biden, is Biden is a policy President so he's going to make fundamental changes for a generation. And we’re talking about student loan relief, we’re talking about bringing back manufacturing and the list goes on.

But the difference with Trump is that his consequence is not policy it's his legacy of undermining elections. Not just him, but he actually has a cadre of individuals right now seeking office that are election deniers. And that legacy is far more dangerous for a modern-day President. He believes in undermining our democracy.

PAT MCCRORY: Biden can’t go on TV because 401ks are down 20-25 percent because of the price of eggs is more than we ever paid in our lifetime. Because gas is going up. The Democrats don't want Biden around. Republicans right now the last four weeks, they just had the super-PAC ads.

CHUCK TODD: Democrats do want one Democratic President campaigning for them, it’s the former Democratic President who we're going to see a lot of I think in the last three weeks.
