Scarborough Completely Loses It Over Trump Tweet; Begs President to Stop Watching

July 25th, 2017 11:24 AM

The set of Morning Joe became chaotic Tuesday morning as the President’s tweets finally drove co-host Joe Scarborough off the deep end. The incident occurred after the President seemingly tweeted out a response to the panel criticizing acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe. What followed was a confused and disturbed rant by Scarborough which seemed to trouble even those around him. At its end, Scarborough frantically begged the President to cease watching the show yelling out, “I am 100 percent serious! He needs to stop watching this show!”

The exchange went as follows:

MIKA BRZEZINSKI: Should we -- can I -- Alex, what's the tweet say?

JOE SCARBOROUGH: Mika, read the tweet. Mika, read the tweet.

BRZEZINSKI: It says 'Problem is that the acting head of the FBI & the person in charge of the Hillary investigation, Andrew McCabe, got $700,000 from H for wife!'

SCARBOROUGH: Ahee-hee-hee-he! Harold! HAROLD! He put McCabe up as a possible finalist to be his FBI director! Does he not -- where's the meddling?

BRZEZINSKI: Someone need to run into his bedroom and grab the phone.

SCARBOROUGH: McCabe was on his finalist list as an FBI director and now he's going back to complaints that he had in September or October of last year! I do want people to be observing and taking notes today and not acting like this is just like every other day and oh, you should have seen this coming! No, this is happening in real time! What is today? What is the date guys?

HAROLD FORD JR: July 25th

BRZEZINSKI: Six months into the presidency.

SCARBOROUGH: July the 25th. July the 25th! Circle it on your calendar! This guy is spinning wildly out of control! He's watching TV! I know--

(takes glasses off, looks directly into camera)

SCARBOROUGH: I know you never watch this show, Donald. Whatever show you're watching is making you crazy. Not crazy.

BRZEZINSKI: Now, Joe...

SCARBOROUGH: I don't think you're crazy. But it's making you act crazy. So you really need to turn to sports center and you need to stop watching--

BRZEZINSKI: Joe...

SCARBOROUGH: Because these tweets make you look really bad. Harold Ford, let's move on and let's hope that right now he's hearing duh-duh-dah, duh-duh-dah instead of Morning Joe because it's seriously not in the best interest of the United States of America, our allies, or the world at large if the President watches Morning Joe.

SCARBOROUGH: It's not. 100% serious. He needs to stop.

SCARBOROUGH: Harold! I am 100% serious! He needs to stop watching this show!

Scarborough’s plea to President Trump may be one of the first recorded examples in recent memory of a television host actually begging a U.S. president not to watch their program. In addition, his response further indicated the media’s growing dilemma of how to address the issue of Trump’s tweets. The inability of the media to stop themselves from covering every single iota of his messages has shown how much of a laughing stock the mainstream media in America has truly become.
