Brzezinski Goes Ballistic in Anti-Trump Rant; Scarborough Requests 'Eject Button'

Prior to the hearing of former FBI director James Comey, Morning Joe co-host Mika Brzezinski on Thursday launched into an uncontrolled rant over her hatred of President Donald Trump. Her tirade proved so great as to create visible discomfort among other members of the show’s panel including lover and co-host, Joe Scarborough. Scarborough himself became so uncomfortable that he at one point even ventured to state, “I need an eject button.”

Brzezinski’s monologue initially began as part of a typical Morning Joe conversation about the President’s stupidity, but it quickly escalated into something much larger. It went as follows:

JOE SCARBOROUGH: This whole, he's too stupid to help himself, I don't buy it! He knew exactly what he was doing!

MIKA BRZEZINSKI: Well, I think he's such a narcissist, it is possible he is mentally ill in a way and that this is on the table. I said it months ago and now everybody is starting to say it like it's new and it’s okay to say, he's not well. At the very least he's not well. And he's so narcissistic he does not believe the rules apply to him and that's where the ignorance label may apply because this is a man who says he can grab women anywhere because he's famous.

SCARBOROUGH: I still don’t get that when he said what he said--

BRZEZINSKI: He may think he can push–Well, that’s, I think there's an innuendo to perhaps the other sex, but anyhow, everyone has their ideas about why he said what he said.

SCARBOROUGH: I’m uncomfortable. Can I go off set now?

BRZEZINSKI: The point is, that he feels he can say or do things that are different from the norm because he's famous, because he’s a celebrity, because he has power.

SCARBOROUGH: Is there a stop button right here?

BRZEZINSKI: And you know what?

SCARBOROUGH: I need an eject button.

BRZEZINSKI: It's going to come down to something. We don't know if it's obstruction of justice. We don't know if it's abuse of power. We don't know if it's utter stupidity, but he may not be able to be in that office. Why do you--Why--Nothing I have said is crazy!

SCARBOROUGH: We’ll talk about it during the break.

BRZEZINSKI: I was watching the show while I was gone. You all said what I said!

SCARBOROUGH: No. Nobody has ever said what you just said.

BRZEZINSKI: Well, I say things a little more clearly!

Is there trouble in paradise between television’s most beloved on-screen couple? Or, are they simply nearing critical mass in terms of their ever-worsening Trump derangement syndrome?
