Per the Free Beacon:
Rep. Eric Swalwell (D., Calif.) will "soon" face sexual harassment allegations from a number of "credible women," including former staffers, according to the leader of the left-wing advocacy group Gen-Z for Change, who said she has been "personally working" with the women to expose a "pattern of manipulation and abuse of power."
The group's executive director, Cheyenne Hunt, detailed the impending allegations against Swalwell, who is running for governor of California, in a series of social media posts. Her original video was posted to Instagram in late March and cited a text from a woman who wrote, "You know Eric Swalwell has slept with many of his interns and makes them all sign NDAs so they don't speak up, right? And when I was 19 he tried hitting on me and sliding into my DMs and I have so many other friends that have similar experiences with him." Hunt said the message was "not an anomaly" but "part of a pattern."
These are troubling allegations for Swalwell, who is currently polling in the top tier of California’s open gubernatorial primary. In some polls, he places as high as 2nd. Were Swalwell a Republican, they would certainly make the evening news. But so far, not so much as a peep from the Elitist Media.
There are also the allegations of excessive childcare payments drawn from campaign funds, just one of a series of disturbing facts to emerge from a Sacramento Bee look into his finances that includes the verbally gymnastic “delayed taxes.” This has gone unreported by the media, as has the cease-and-desist letter Swalwell sent to the FBI over its proposed release of investigative files which probably include details of l’affaire Fang Fang.
Had a Republican committed any of these, let alone all of these, there would be significant coverage among the Elitist Media evening news. Not a second of this on ABC, CBS, or NBC.
But it’s (D)ifferent with Swalwell, a media darling going back to the Russia Hoax days. It’s pretty clear that were it not for double standards, there would be none at all.
