ABC News Exults Over Kamala Harris’s Coronation

The 2024 Democratic National Convention is, in part, the physical manifestation of the transition of the Regime from its former figurehead, President Joe Biden, to its new figurehead Vice President Kamala Harris. The most pro-Regime media outlet has also now fully transitioned to Harris.

This, for example, is how ABC News opened their coverage of the final night of the Democratic National Convention:

DAVID MUIR: Tonight, the final night of the Democratic National Convention right here in Chicago. Vice President Kamala Harris making history. A short time from now, formally accepting her party's nomination, delivering what will be the most important speech of her political career. Making the case to become President of the United States. Her message expected to lean in on her optimism and joyful view of the future of America. Election Day just 75 days out. Mary Bruce, formerly Chief Apple Polisher for the Biden White House, is now auditioning for that role in a Harris White House, with a special emphasis on history:

MARY BRUCE: I was told she spent the day reviewing and making revisions and tweaks to the speech by hand. I was told to expect this to be deeply personal remarks. You know, this is a chance for her to come out and tell her American story. To talk about that immigrant experience in this country and she is going to say “the middle class is where I come from.” That is an argument that she wants to get across. Of course, she is going to talk about a being a prosecutor and she now prosecutes the case against Donald Trump and she is going to outline that vision of hope and optimism for the future. I think, you know, a lot of people may wonder why the need for the reintroduction. She was vice president, she was a candidate before. This is entirely different. And this is her chance to get out there on that stage and define herself for herself. To do this in her own voice. And one more thing, you know, so much is made of the history here tonight. What's different about Kamala Harris is that she has been the first at every step along the way in her career. That was true in San Francisco, true when she became the California district attorney, true when she became- or excuse me, the attorney genera-l and true, of course, when she became the vice president. It is not something that defines her, yet something that she has achieved that milestone every step along the way and in just a short time, she’s going to step out and become the first Black woman, the first person of South Asian descent.

JON KARL: And what they have done, what the two of them have done in an absolutely remarkable way here in this convention, David, is they have unified a party that has not been unified. This Democrat -- I've been covering Democratic conventions since 1992. I have never seen a convention more unified, when the amazing thing is, just five weeks ago when Joe Biden was still the candidate, we were expected to see a convention that was going to be deeply divided. Some people, major figures in this party wanting Biden to be gone because of age. Others upset with Israel- Israel policy.

And Rachel Scott finds great difficulty moving around the convention hall, in part because of the crowding, and in part because of the great weight of history:

MUIR: There you have the message on the floor. It echoes what we have heard these last few nights. Let's turn hate into hope. That’s Sheriff Chris Swanson of Genesee County, Michigan. Let’s go down to the floor. Rachel Scott, again, on the floor for us tonight. And Rachel, just the sense, the energy in the crowd on this night of history, knowing that this will be Kamala Harris' night to reintroduce herself to the nation.

RACHEL SCOTT: Yes, David. And the history and the weight of this moment is not lost on anyone in this room. It's getting harder to move around here on the convention floor, partly because there's so many people, but also partly because of the energy that is in this convention, as well. People dancing, people ready to see vice president Kamala Harris. What started initially during this convention has a love letter to President Biden, focused on democracy, the page has now turned. The torch has now been passed to Vice President Kamala Harris. Two words we’re going to hear over and over again tonight: “freedom” and “joy”, David. 

If ever there was any doubt that the American media is a wholly partisan enterprise, let those doubts be vanquished. If it weren’t for Regime Media, we’d have none at all.
