MSNBC's Rachel Maddow warned her very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very liberal audience that the Virginia Republican Party just picked a slate of "very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very conservative" candidates to run for office this fall.
On Tuesday's edition of MSNBC's Rachel Maddow Show the host left no doubt in her viewers' minds about how "very conservative" she found the candidates selected by Virginia Republicans to be, as she used the word "very" a total of ten times in just one segment. (video after the jump)
The following was aired on the May 21 edition of MSNBC's The Rachel Maddow Show:
RACHEL MADDOW: In the state of Virginia today the state Republican party is now officially in possession of its slate of candidates who will run in Virginia's state-wide elections this fall. Those candidates were chosen at a party convention over the weekend. Not a primary but a convention. They include the Republican party's candidates for governor and lieutenant governor and attorney general. Again this was not a primary, this was a party convention that picked the candidates. So there was no state-wide voting here. It was just the Republican loyalists who showed up.
And those Republican loyalists who showed up for the convention picked candidates for this state-wide election who are very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very conservative. A very conservative Tea Party style slate of candidates. Barring further breaking news developments tomorrow we will have more on that important political story on tomorrow night's show. But suffice it to say, I didn't use enough "verys" in describing them.
