Editor’s Pick: Bulldog Winner Erickson DESTROYS WashPost Hack Over Biden’s Health

In his Tuesday morning newsletter at Substack, conservative talk radio host and 2025 MRC Bulldog Award winner Erick Erickson tore Washington Post hack Matt Viser a new one over his years of (largely) covering for his dearly beloved President Joe Biden and painting him as fully lucid and in control despite public videos and now books proving otherwise.

Erickson started with an incredible Viser hot take on March 12, 2024 that “Biden doesn't come across as absent-minded as Hur has made him out to be” plus a Viser article a month earlier that claimed the President’s October 2023 interviews with then-Special Counsel Robert Hur about classified documents “proceeded in a routine, even dry, manner” and “Biden himself was focused at the time on more immediate and world-shaking matters.”

But when it came to his coverage of questioning the timeline of Biden’s cancer diagnosis released Sunday night, Viser denounced it as “conspiracy theorists” and found a Mass General Brigham oncologist to back up Team Biden’s assertion this advanced cancer only recently popped up.

Taken those together, Erickson said Viser is “more like a propagandist” and lambasted him for finding an expert to put his narrative to rest as the truth:

For the record, some doctors also believe vaccines cause autism and others believe that transgenderism is real. It does not make them accurate or authoritative. In fact, the overwhelming medical consensus on prostate cancer is that it does not develop and spread in a matter of months. It is also extremely notable that George W. Bush, Barack Obama, and Donald Trump all had PSA test references in their medical records and Joe Biden explicitly did not.

Viser — which conveniently rhymes with Biden adviser — defended the Biden family following the New York Post’s Hunter Biden laptop bombshell by dismissing its credibility given the role of Rudy Giuliani in the saga. Following his inauguration, Viser gushed Biden “tweets read like fortune cookies.”

Ironically, it was Viser whom The Post had spill thousands of words in March 2022 confirming the laptop’s authenticity and, despite his declarations of Biden being in control of his faculties, asked questions in September 2022 when Biden called out to a dead congresswoman.

Nonetheless, he did what he was supposed to do as a liberal tool, penning puff pieces about the Biden family, Biden’s trip to Ireland, Hunter Biden suing the owner of the laptop repair shop, and Hunter thumbing his nose at congressional Republicans.

Erickson also took apart Politico’s Jonathan Martin for having lambasting Vice President JD Vance as “totally online” (and thus not living in reality) for tying the cancer diagnosis to the wider reality of Biden’s fitness for office.

“There is a class of reporter in Washington that drips with disdain for MAGA, Trump, and the present state of the GOP. They have allowed that disdain to radicalize them to the point where, in their professional jobs, they now consider a view shared by 70% of Americans as ‘being totally online’...Having spent four years with Joe Biden in their mouths, these reporters were comforted to reinsert him this weekend and again fluff up the Biden family narrative,” Erickson explained.
