On Tuesday night, MSNBC host and former NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams again demonstrated that he is so far to the left, that he even hits Democrats from the left if they are not liberal enough, using his 11th Hour "news" show to gratuitously hit Arizona Senator Kyrsten Sinema over her recent choice of clothing. West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin received similar mockery on the show less than a month ago.
Closing out his late night show, Williams devoted the final segment to reading tweets from Sinema's critics who trashed her for what she wore to the Senate as she took her turn presiding. The MSNBC host began:
Last thing before we go tonight, Kyrsten Sinema is back in the news and getting talked about a lot tonight, which always seems kind of fine with Kyrsten Sinema. Later today, she and her wing man Joe Manchin had the latest in what seemingly have become daily meetings in the Oval Office with the President, all the while assuring us it's not about them. Except that today when she took her turn presiding over the U.S. Senate, it was about her and her choice of clothing. And that would be a black t-shirt and a denim vest. And the reaction was immediate.
After showing an image of Sinema presiding over the Senate, Williams read tweets from seven different critics of the moderate Arizona Democrat, with one stating that she "doesn't give a s***," one calling it "embarrassing, just like everything Kyrsten Sinema does," and one suggesting she should wear a patch like NASCAR "so we know who owns her."
He then redirected his fire toward Republicans, complaining because they did not childishly lampoon Senator Sinema's choice of clothing: "Lots of talk about what used to be the dress code in the Senate chamber. Relatively little criticism from the Republicans in that chamber. There may be a little sensitivity there because of who they have allowed to preside over the Senate chamber in recent months."
Just under a month ago, on September 30, Williams used the same segment to play a clip from The Daily Show which depicted a fictional board game called "Manchin" in which the "Manchin" player acts like a "d***head" and prevents other players from accomplishing anything.

Ron Filipkowski just posted it, saying, "At this point, she's just telling us she doesn't give a blank anymore."
Jezebel described the embroidered denim vest as looking like it could have been worn by "an early American Idol, a tailgater, a barback at a really jaunty dive bar, or a clothing hanger that never gets touched at L-Train Vintage."
Others weighed in: "Denim vest. New low for the U.S. Senate." "For what it's worth, I don't think any man would get away with that." "Nothing against a denim vest, but presiding over the U.S. Senate in one is embarrassing, just like everything Senator Sinema does."
And how about these? "She should have patches like NASCAR so we know who owns her." And, "It's definitely more insulting to deny Medicare for all with a denim vest on."
So that's just a sampling. Lots of talk about what used to be the dress code in the Senate chamber. Relatively little criticism from the Republicans in that chamber. There may be a little sensitivity there because of who they have allowed to preside over the Senate chamber in recent months.
