Univision Celebrates Rip-Off Artists Who Used Fake IDs to Work at Trump Golf Club

The nation’s liberal media – including Univision –  went ballistic in its coverage of President Trump’s 2020 re-campaign launch rally in Orlando, Florida. And to stress just how “upset” Latinos were about his announcement, Univision correspondent Claudia Uceda informed her audience that “only hours after Donald Trump promised deportations, workers who had revealed that they worked for the President with false documents wanted to ruin the celebration.”

And guess who these workers were? The same group that lied about their immigration status at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey and that for months has been repeatedly appearing, along with immigration lawyer Anibal Romero of the Romero firm, in just about every news show in both English and Spanish-language media, as MRC Latino has previously pointed out.

On this occasion, the group, in addition to repeating the same old talking points, had one of the fired women - wrongly identified as having worked for Trump and not at a Trump property – add “profound” political insight about the President´s “strategy”:

MARGARITA CRUZ, FORMER EMPLOYEE, TRUMP GOLF CLUB: We expect from Mr. Trump like the worst from him towards us, toward the undocumented, because everything since his campaign has been about his way of winning and getting to the position where he is right now. It’s like his strategy.

To make the report even more absurd, lawyer Romero, whose firm website boasts that they are “here for the community” and to “help you and your family navigate through the complex immigration process” states on camera that all the President has done is “divide us and send a completely wrong message, a message with lies about immigrants coming to take jobs. It is not true. They are honest people.”

Really? Since when, Mr. Romero, are admitted liars and sneaks who present false documents in order to yes, compete for jobs with legal U.S. citizens, residents and temporary work visa holders, honest?

CLAUDIA UCEDA, CORRESPONDENT, UNIVISION: Just hours after Donald Trump promised massive deportations of the undocumented, the workers who had revealed that they worked for the President with false documents, wanted to ruin the celebration.

ANIBAL ROMERO, IMMIGRATION LAWYER: The only thing he has done is divide us and send a completely wrong message, a message with lies that immigrants come to take jobs. It is not true, they are honest people.
