Libs of TikTok Says Account Was CANCELED by Yet Another Platform

Popular pro-free speech Libs of TikTok account said the account has been canceled by another platform.

Email marketing platform AWeber canceled Libs of TikTok, according to the latter’s Sept. 29 post on X (formerly Twitter). “@AWeber just closed our account one day after opening it. We didn’t even get a chance to use [it] yet. They refused to tell us why,” the post explained.

Libs of TikTok included an apparent screenshot of the email from AWeber, which asserted that the censorship was in “order to protect the integrity of our network.”

Libs of TikTok creator Chaya Raichik interpreted the censorship as a reaction to her critiques of radical LGBTQ ideology imposed on children.

“@AWeber does not believe in free speech or in protecting children. They are targeting those with dissenting views,” she insisted in the post. AWeber claimed it could not “disclose information on the specifics of the review” that led to the “closure of your account,” according to the screenshot Libs of TikTok shared.

AWeber’s notice also requested that Libs of TikTok “not attempt to create new AWeber accounts.” The screenshot indicates that AWeber’s “Best Practices team” issued the decision to ban Libs of TikTok on Sept. 28.

Big Tech has repeatedly targeted Libs of TikTok for censorship, as MRC Free Speech America’s unique CensorTrack.org database records. For instance, Linktree disabled Raichik’s account in April 2022, vaguely alleging “inappropriate use of this service.” Slack canceled Libs of TikTok, claiming a violation of the platform’s “Acceptable Use Policy.”

Facebook locked her account for uncovering graphic LGBTQ books in schools. Besides these instances, Meta-owned Instagram and Twitter both suspended Libs of TikTok last year—Twitter did it at least twice. These are just a few examples of tech platforms targeting Libs of TikTok for censorship.
