This is becoming all too common. The healthcare system really looks like it's failing innocent kids for profit.
Detransitioner, 21-year-old Soren Aldaco, is suing medical “professionals” for $1,000,000 for physically and mentally scarring her after they affirmed her childhood delusion that she was transgender.
Aldaco suffered with her gender identity as a child. When she started puberty, she didn’t like it. I mean really, who does?! Instead of recognizing that her changes were normal, not that we blame her because, again, she was just a child, Aldaco got sucked into believing that her body was something to hate. She began identifying as a boy at just 11-years-old.
When Aldaco was 17-years-old, she visited nurse practitioner, Del Scott Perry. While there, Perry, during the first visit, prescribed tons of cross-sex hormones at an “outrageously large, off-label dosage,” The Post Millennial reported. Perry didn’t even consult Aldaco’s parents about her taking the drugs, nor about any potential risks or complications.
This same thing happened to detransitioner Chloe Cole. At Thursday’s hearing for the House Judiciary Committee, Cole indicated how we need to do a better job as a society coming alongside confused kids going through changes.
“We need to stop telling 12-year-olds that they were born wrong, that they are right to reject their own bodies and feel uncomfortable with their own skin," Cole said during her plea to Congress. "We need to stop telling children that puberty is an option. That they can choose what kind of puberty they will go through just they can choose what clothes to wear or music to listen to."
This issue is of vital importance. Kids and their parents are being manipulated into believing that if they don’t follow through with sex-changes after feeling “wrong” in their own skin, they’re on track for suicide. Rather than treating a mental health problem with permanent damage and extremely barbaric procedures, we should actually deal with the mental health issue. But, like Cole, Aldaco was failed by the healthcare system.
Supposedly, after being on cross-sex hormones for almost two years, Barbara Wood, Aldaco’s therapist recommended her for a double mastectomy to remove Aldaco’s completely healthy breasts and eliminate any chance she had at breastfeeding her future, Lord willing, children.
The lawsuit states that Aldaco had a “long history of and current struggle with Major Depressive Disorder, autism, and other mental health disorders,” and she was not properly assessed psychologically before receiving her double mastectomy. As stated by The Post Millennial, “The lawsuit argues that the approval 'was itself a gross breach of the medical standard of care,' given Aldaco's comorbidities, age, and 'other similar red flags.'"
To nobody’s surprise, the surgery went horribly. Aldaco suffered “pools of blood forming subcutaneously within her torso," and her nipples were “literally peeling off.” Nonetheless, likely to cover their tracks, her doctors didn’t tell her to seek emergency care.
Aldaco’s severe pain eventually sent her to the ER where she stayed for eight hours. She needed yet another surgery to fix the damage. Her scars were cut back open, drains were sewn in and even Aldaco remembers doctors sticking a Q-tip in the hole that they’d cut open to clean up the blood clots.
“I knew that I had been gaslit, this was not normal,” Aldaco admitted in a video with Independent Women’s Forum.
After taking a sociology course in college, Aldaco learned that we develop a sense of self through “taking on the role of other, through role model.” This thought led Aldaco to think about her own, younger sister, and what she’d do if that sister were in her shoes.
As noted by The Post Millennial, Aldaco started researching the procedure after she went through such a traumatic experience. She learned that the surgery was “experimental” and, according to the lawsuit, medical professionals, “recklessly, if not intentionally, overlooked or ignored [Aldaco's] sordid psychological history to justify the approach they had pre-determined to be right for anyone similarly confused about their gender identity."
The lawsuit was filed July 21 and specifically named the reckless individuals and groups responsible for her permanent scars, mentally and physically.
Another detransitioner, Prisha Mosley, 25, also admitted how the healthcare system failed her. She, too, is suing healthcare “professionals” for treating her depression with transgender treatments.
“They told me that changing my body to look like a boy’s body would cure my mental health problems,” she stated in an op-ed for Fox News.
It truly is a shame how far the leftist mob is willing to go to push the woke agenda. These victims were innocent kids who had their childhood stripped away from them and are going to suffer every day due to the recklessness of people they were supposed to trust.
Prayers go out to Aldaco, Cole, Mosley and anyone else who was dramatically taken advantage of and failed by the healthcare system.
