When you think of Easter, do you think about Jesus, death, resurrection, springtime, bunnies, or church? Well then you’re like most of the rest of the country who knows what Easter is all about. On the other hand, some people think about freakin’ drag queens.
In protest to the “400 pieces of anti-LGBTQ+ legislation on the books,” the Los Angeles LGBT Center planned an Easter Day Drag March.
Now that’s an idea I hope dies and doesn't get resurrected.
The group posted its flyer on Twitter and urged supporters to “gather” to “show the world what we’re made of.” (Silicon, chemicals and delusion.)
The March will begin at 10 a.m. with a rally and performances by alums from RuPaul’s Drag Race - yikes. At noon, the march will start and attendees will sashay down Santa Monica Boulevard. Attendees are instructed to wear their “Sunday Best” which, considering the context, will likely be high heels, fishnets and prosthetic breasts.
Sunday Best has a different meaning in West Hollywood.
This year alone, there are over 400 pieces of anti-LGBTQ+ legislation on the books.

On Easter Sunday (April 9th), we’ll gather in our Sunday Best to show the world what we’re made of—and that we’re not going back.

Look, peaceful protests are fine, but the fact that this drag march was planned for one of the most holy days of the year is far from appropriate. But, then again, this is the left we’re talking about.
While you and I see how distasteful this is, numerous members of the alphabet mafia were over the moon.
“The center’s Drag March is a nod to the origins of the LGBTQ+ movement, when the very first demonstrations started in opposition to moral policing and anti-crossdressing laws designed to impose a singular ideal of gender and sexuality onto citizens,” LA LGBTQ Center CEO Joe Hollendonor said in a statement. “It is no mistake that today’s ‘Drag Bans’ are accompanied by a sweeping movement to ban access to gender-affirming care; we are fighting for our right to privacy, bodily autonomy, self-determination, and freedom of expression.”
These people are professional perverts and professional victims. BOGO!
This isn’t the only blasphemy of Easter. Earlier this week, we saw numerous restaurants gearing up for Easter drag brunch events, a drag queen Jesus, and a few drag queen bunnies showing what they called “gay chaos” this Easter season.
If you wanna wear fake boobs, Walmart makeup and rainbow fishnets, you’re gonna look weird, but do you, boo. But, on EASTER? Really?
