New York just became the first city in the United States to offer free abortion pills at public clinics.
Just before the 50th anniversary of Roe v. Wade as well as the annual March for Life, NY Mayor Eric Adams announced free medication abortion to make it even easier for the women in New York to chemically execute their unborn children.
The city supposedly offered medication abortions at 11 public hospitals but the pills will now be free and accessible at four clinics across NYC.
The program is funded by a $1.2 million package for “sexual health services,” as reported by Yahoo News, money that could have been allocated to help pregnant mothers or provide resources other than murder for women in crisis pregnancies.
The city’s Department of Health and Mental Hygiene commissioner, Ashwin Vasan said that the clinics will be able to administer 10,000 medication abortions every single year. That means that across the four clinics (on top of the 11 hospitals that administer medication abortions) 40,000 babies have the potential to be killed each year through medication abortions only.
This comes just a few weeks after the Food and Drug Administration approved chain pharmacies like CVS and Walgreens to pass out medication abortion pills. The abortion industry is working overtime to push the pro-abort narrative and the Biden administration, and NYC are doing their part.
But, this is exactly the kind of “vision” Adams has for the people of New York City. In a press conference Tuesday he said the following:
For too long, health and health care has been centered around men, but that changes today. We have been standing on the sidelines of women’s health for too long, and I have personally seen firsthand how the health system is letting our women down. It is long overdue that we break taboos and make New York City a model for the future of women’s health care. We are going to build a city that is here for all women and girls.
He also claimed that the average maternal mortality rate among black women is more than nine times as high as the rate of white pregnant women. Perhaps then, he should allocate the $1.2 million to helping black pregnant women receive the medical attention and resources they need.
President and CEO of Planned Parenthood of Greater New York said the program was “critical” to women of NYC, especially “marginalized” communities, reiterating Adams point.
Unfortunately, there’s not going to be any community if you keep killing babies by the thousand, ma’am.
It’s clear that Adams and his affiliates don’t have the best interests at heart for the residents of NYC. Instead, his agenda aims to further push the “need” for and accessibility of abortion.
In New York, it's getting easier to kill your baby than to have a full term pregnancy.
