After making headlines with her Christmas ballad “Trump’s Nuts Roasting over an Open Fire,” singer Fiona Apple is at it again. This time, she’s prepping for the Women’s March on Washington with the chant “Tiny Hands.”
The song alludes to President-elect Trump’s infamous Access Hollywood tapes, and includes his voice declaring “grab them by the p*ssy.” “We don’t want your tiny hands anywhere near our underpants,” Apple then chants repetitively to the accompaniment of drums.
Liberal media outlets loved it.
"Still agonizing over what your sign for the Women’s March on Washington should say?" questioned Vogue's Michelle Ruiz. "Worry not! At least you know your rallying cry for the weekend’s protest."
In her article about the song, The New Yorker’s Carrie Battan noted: “Unlike Trump, who wields his words like a bludgeon, Apple is hushed, calm, resolute. But her words, like his, are blunt, infectious—designed to be shouted by torrents of marching women.”
On Saturday, as the media keep reminding us, thousands of progressive women will converge on DC to protest Donald Trump. Sadly, ideological diversity is not welcome.
