One Democrat state lawmaker thinks she’s owning the Right by sterilizing herself. But it seems she’s actually done us all a favor!
“Just under two weeks ago, I underwent surgery to ensure that I would never have to navigate a pregnancy in Donald Trump’s America,” announced Michigan State Rep. Laurie Pohutsky (D-Livonia) at a rally outside the state capitol on Wednesday.

The rally, covered by Michigan Advance, was organized as part of the national “50501 Movement,” which aimed to hold 50 protests in 50 states on one day to oppose President Donald Trump.
“I refuse to let my body be treated as currency by an administration that only sees value in my ability to procreate,” she continued, patting herself on the back for somehow breaking ground toward universal justice by never procreating.
But that’s assuming anyone would want to impregnate her.
Still, Pohustky continued, conflating murdering pre-born babies with contraception and making sure everybody knows how “serious” the implications of the Trump administration’s pro-life stance is, because it prompted lunatics like her to get her tubes tied.
“I’m going to repeat myself,” she announced, as if anyone cares.
“A sitting government official opted for voluntary sterilization because she was uncertain she would be able to access contraception in the future,” she emphasized.
I’d consider this a win-win for everyone involved, especially the pre-born babies who will never have to worry about ending up in her womb.
Hopefully, all other pro-abortionists will follow her lead.
