LSU Women’s Basketball Player Apologizes For Mocking 9/11 In Rap Song

The fact that someone is actually having to make an apology for something like this is beyond disappointing.

Flau’jae Johnson released a song in which part of her lyrics described her riding in a Porsche 911 on Wednesday. That’s where the line mocking one of the most tragic events to ever happen on American soil came in.

This video has since been deleted.

It's impossibly confusing how Johnson could sing this song and not think to herself, “Maybe I shouldn’t include this lyric.”

Many have rightfully been disgusted with Johnson’s song. For the record, this isn’t a case of Americans being too easily offended by the littlest of things, Johnson crossed a line that should not have been crossed. Even though it happened almost 22 years ago, there are thousands of Americans who lost loved ones on that day and still feel the pain of losing a loved one on that tragic day.

To give her some credit, Johnson did issue an apology for her irresponsible lyrics.

However, this apology came one day after she liked two tweets from people who suggested that she did nothing wrong. So is she really sorry, or is she just saving face?
