In the opening to her new music video released on YouTube titled ‘Ain’t Your Mama’, Jennifer Lopez apparently feels inspired by Hillary Clinton’s “Women’s Rights Are Human Rights” speech soundbite.
Clinton’s soundbite sets the tone for the song, and is used as motivation for Lopez to dump a plate of food on a man’s head, throw a drink on another man’s face and dance like there’s no tomorrow.
Simultaneously representing women from different decades of the United States’ past history, J-Lo lets us all know that she … isn’t our mama. And when she says she “Ain’t Your Mama,” she means it (she says it 41 times, yes, I counted.)
It’s no secret Lopez is a big fan of Hillary. She’s previously said “I think it’s time for a woman [president]” and “I’m very excited by the news” in reference to Hillary’s candidacy.
After Clinton’s speech, Lopez goes on to say “Look, I don’t have to tell you things are bad. Everybody knows things are bad. Taken for granted, ignored, overlooked, underappreciated,” and “We have a big, big problem, ladies.”
But maybe President Hillary will make it all better. Hey, maybe Hillary's our mama!
