Democrats in the legislative branch of the government have decided to broaden their horizons.
A lot.
While Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) may have gotten a Grammy nomination this year, Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has decided to take an extra step. She will guest judge in the next season of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars, in what E! calls her “reality show debut.”
Yes, the congresswoman who recently told her constituents she has a “massive funding gap to fill,” is clearly working hard to keep her seat as she guest-judges with such Hollywood personalities as Vanessa Hudgens and Adam Lambert. Pelosi, who accused Trump of “destroying President Obama’s phenomenal legacy,” is keeping up with her own legacy by judging drag queens on VH1.
Pelosi had prepared for her big role by appearing previously on the Late Late Show With James Corden and telling the host that even the GOP “has gone beyond Darth Vader.” Along with appearances on Chelsea Handler’s Netflix talk show and on The View, one wonders how much she will fill her “funding gap” with her appearance on RuPaul’s Drag Race.
RuPaul Charles is a politically flamboyant character. In 2016, he endorsed Hillary Clinton as “powerful, persuasive, brilliant, and resilient.” He also stated that Trump, through ego, “wants to divide us up.”
